  1. Nice one Gio!!! Bit of Vat and the £38 registration charge and we're laughing. Nick :hyper:
  2. Anyone ever imported a car from Jersey? Have read the DVLA site (work is boring at the mo) and it doesnt appear too hard. Some weird thing about not being legal to drive a previously european registered car on its exisitng plates once youve bought it. Anyone got any useful personal experience Thanks Nick
  3. No problem :)
  4. at halfrauds til the end of the month according to the advert in todays Daily Star. Nick
  5. I keep tellin the missus that its safer to drink all the time rather than just at the weekend, now maybe she'll believe me!!!  And whats this about:- "These children are also more likely to develop significant alcohol problems, such as abuse or dependence. " Whats the problem with that????????? Nick Sun is shining, the zeds a calling.................
  6. Mike, I havent a clue what youve said there but its very computery so must mean its good.!! Keep up the good work. Nick
  7. Trin, Showed the picture to some of the lads in our office over lunchtime and they are off to purchase 300's this weekend!! Keep this good showing up and you'll help drive the price of our motors up (at last!) Nick :D :D
  8. Superb lunchtime reading on a boring Thursday!!! The next pictorial installment is eagerly awaited!! Iain, perhaps this should go in the members only area as an incentive to subscribe!!!! $$$$$$$$$$$$ Nick :D
  9. Dave, Did u manage to get any answers to these questions for me? Nick
  10. Nice one, fella will check out that website. So where is it built Dave? Germany? My mate is trying to find out a few things but lets start with:- What are the front uprights that it uses? Are they a modification of something else in the vauxhaul/opel range or unique to the VX? What brakes does it use? Are they from some other car? Whats the screen? Unique, Corsa, Astra?? TIA Nick
  11. Have already had a scan thru the vauxhall site, but thanks anyway. Was trying to find a forum like ours, where I could ascertain what standard vauxhall bits are used on them. Uprights, rack, column, etc Nick
  12. I am after some tech info on a VX220 for a mate of mine. Ta Nick
  13. Have a look over on :- http://www.landrovernet.com/forum/ Very helpful bunch of fellas. If you are going for the diesel then try and get one with the TD5 unit in. Loads of torque, loads of go (for a diesel). Better than the 300 diesel unit, which in turn is better than the 200 diesel unit. Check out the for sales in the landrover owners mag as well:- http://www.lro.com HTH Nick ;)
  14. I think hes understanding that it could well be a temporary disqual and is preparing for that. I have told him to go see a solicitor before he does anything, even before he signs the form and sends it back. Though he knows hes done wrong and they have the evidence to prove it. Wouldnt mind but its a bloody good road for gettin some speed up on too!!! They actually installed permanent Gatsos on there about 3 years ago but in 2 days both were nicked as its near a notorious estate. Thanks for the advice fellas. Nick
  15. Mate of mine at work was photographed last week by a camera van (parked in a cycle lane on an urban clearway road I hasten to add) doing 81 mph in a 50mph. It is a two lane road and it was dry and sunny. He has no mitigating circumstances. The NIP dropped through his letterbox today and merely states that he is being done under whatever section of the road traffic act. Its doesnt actually state what they intend to prosecute for. Is this the norm these days? Does this indicate its likely to be dealt with via points and a fine rather than court? Poor lad knows he done wrong but hes only 25 and just got himself into a nice Rover 200 coupe as well. Gonna sting his insurance.! Any advice appreciated. Nick

Thought about doing this last year and didnt, so would be interested in this. Will have a new 3 month baby at that time so I am going to have to sweet talk the missus big stylee to make it happen. Keep us posted on numbers and costs. Nick
  17. Thanks for the tip Mike. Worked OK today, until the whole net crashed from too many users!!! Nick
  18. Nowt wrong with that Steve, at least its got the right number of cylinders. But then I drive a V6 rover as my everyday work sled so what do I know!!! :p :p Nick
  19. Sweet, I am a Yorkshire lad by birth. Got sent over here to Lancashire when I was a nipper and told I could only return when I found something good. Still ere........................................ Theres some quite nice places round ere, some shit holes, but anywhere sounds better than your gaff matey. You have my sympathy. Nick
  20. Oh no no no no no. CSC service all the machines on site at work. Sneeze and my computer gives me the blue screen of death. Takes 3 days to get em out, to which they usually say "Were gonna have to take that one away and rebuild it mate!" No shit sherlock, even I can tell its chuffed! "Looks like it needs a new hard drive". "That'll be my fifth this year then!!!!" "You reported that sir???" "No, I try and hide it in the bottom drawer of my desk along with the collection of mouldy tea mats, OF COURSE IVE REPORTED IT YOU MORONS, why else would you be here!!!" Takes em a day or 2 to rebuild it then it comes back and you have to wait a week for all the software such as Outlook 2000 and Microsoft Project to be put back on. "Cant you just load the software when you rebuild it guys?" "Cant do that mate, we can only load Outlook 98, standard software package build. They'll do MSP remotely." I'll give em something remote to do and it involves shoving it up their ****!!! See you got me started. Anyway, rant over. Some of the sites are access restricted, (even the one that Mac linked to to show his spiders the other day FFS!) but this doesnt come up as restricted, just get the funny repairing message. Most peculiar!! Nick
  21. Normally dont have any problems geting onto the site when logged on at work, despite the gestapo IT police we have. However, last 2 days when I flick the club up outta my favourites it just says:- database repairing WTF this all about then? Cleared out all the crap and cookies and stuff, no change. Typed it in manually, no change. Ask someone else to type it in, they access it straight away. Whats going on? Any ideas? Nick
  22. Shite, neither could I. Round here I had to force more sweets on the little kids at Halloween cos they were too polite and only took one each! And they all got properly dressed up with make up and the full jazz. Dont think I could handle all that nonsense off them! Only thing you gotta be careful of when walking down the lanes here is being run over by a feck off big tractor with trailer on its rear. Dont think I'll mind that anymore considering some of the cap you guys have to put up with. Nick
  23. Getting outta there sounds like a good idea!!
  24. Didnt you buy this from Chorley Nissan? If so then the years gone awful quick!! And dont they offer free MoTs with all cars bought there? They did when my missus bought a GV off them. Anyway, good luck. Nick
