Quavey - I did read it there just now.... a twin turbo V6......sounds like a familiar type of engine there!!!! And 16.5mpg at somewhere around 40p a litre (about £1.81 a gallon) compared to 17.6mpg at around 97p a litre (about £4.41 a gallon) Very interesting reading......plus the Zed even in TT gets about 18-25mpg (ish)

the zed is a 6 cylinder, 3l engined car.... regardless of whether is NA or TT isn't it?

I'm serious about this one......If all I want is the best looking car in the world without the performance or cost.....then, why not? Now before I get slated here........................................... Seriously, how hard would this be? does anyone know if there is a particular engine that would be easiest to do this with? For example does anyone know if the gearbox would have to be changed or is there an engine out there that could work with most of the running gear of the Zed? The reason I ask is that obviously the fuel economy of a zed is not great, but if all you are after is looks (and what better car to look great in?) why not? The idea would be to use the car purely as an advert for a company - all logo'd up and driving around towns for people to see. Business wise the fuel economy of the Zed wouldn't add up, but if a diesel engine could be dropped into it relatively inexpensively what would the options be. I'm not after some super-duper Twin Turbo diesel engine or anything, but something like a primera or avensis engine. So ideas anyone?

I have a square sticker inside the car on the windscreen right in the middle on the top. It is a white 3 on a green background. Nothing else on it at all and the 3 is facing into the car..... I always wondered what it was there for too.

My family have already boycotted BP....they are the only petrol station in my town, But there are 2 shell stations within 4miles of it. Plus the BP is not 24hours and is always 1p dearer........ Good luck in the fight!!
