Damn this went cheap!!
OOOppppsss.....I was the timewaster and yes they got it cheap. well.......I was talking the whole 1/2 car gearbox, the lot for £400 delivered, and the seller didn't get back to me after 5 days to confirm the delivery address and date. There was no way of hearing it running, and has lay for over a year. I had a mechanic ready on the day it was supposed to be delivered, but I got a text at about half 4 to say he wasn't coming. So I decided to leave it.

Different Series Zeds
Cheers!! My Jap car has them on the doors, but it has power seats.......confused me whether it was series 1 or two. It also has electric fold in mirrors, but I assume that is a standard Jap thing then

Insurance for imports- always dearer???
Any ideas on why the import insurance is dearer conidering extra saftey stuff the imports have ie, engine speed limited, boing at speeds to warn drivers, boing when in reverse. Are the cars not the same otherwise really? Cheers, Michael

Different Series Zeds
is it common for a 300zx to be a mixture of series 1 and 2? or are there other differences between Jap and UK models?

Different Series Zeds
Hi All, Is there anywhere on here or out there that has a list of what is different between the different series 300zx's? I hear people talking about series 1 and 2 and occasionally 4. What are the differences? Cheers, Michael.

Rear tyre size advice please
I have found for a lot of tyres I have been looking for that mytyres.co.uk are cheap, but I'd also check camskill.co.uk are sometimes cheaper.

UK vs Import ECU
Hi Everyone, I have got a imported Zed and it has not had the speedo converted and I assume the speed limit removed. The question is of I swap the Import speedo/clocks for UK ones, will this fix the KM/h to MPH? and If I take out the import ECU and swap it for a UK ECU will this remove the speed limit? Are there any issue with swaping the 2 ECUs though? Cheers, Michael

Crankcase hoses (with or without restricters?)
Hi Greg, The pictures were to go with the post about them - I need the hoses as mine arent any good and I don't know if they are the correct ones as the engine has been in and out the car before I got it I could use a wee bit of help again with this if anyone out there can. The hose the mechanic took off at the back had a restrictor inside it and I am now wondering if the hoses I am now looking for are supposed to have restrictors too. I am told that the rubber hoses are the crankcase ventilation hoses. There is one either side of the engine at the front and they come off of a black plastic pipe - below the intercooler and boost hoses - and seem to attatch to a metal pipe that then joins a block than sits on top of the engine. I have pointed where they attach to in the photos to give you guys some ideas. If anyone knows if they are restricted or not can you let me know? either reply here or email me on cau96176@talktalk.net Also if anyone has any spare ones lying about any chance I could buy them or any ideas where to get them from? Cheers again, Michael

Crankcase hoses (with or without restricters?)
Hi Everyone and thanks for all the help with the last hose problem I had. That wonderful "right in the middle and up the back of the engine one!" I could use a wee bit of help again with this if anyone out there can. The hose the mechanic took off at the back had a restrictor inside it and I am now wondering if the hoses I am now looking for are supposed to have restrictors too. smoke problem
My car has started doing exactly the same as this one!! What a great site!! The smoke in mine is grey/white, it's soooo easy to tell with the amount of the stuff coming out. These turbo seals that you are talking of.....I have just had 2 turbos I bought 2nd hand fitted and I don't think they have had new seals put on when the boy fit them. So 2 questions here....... 1. where can I get these seals from (and any ideas on prices)? and 2. Does this mean the boy who fit the turbos (removed the engine to do this) will have to do this again? Cheers, Michael
