  1. Both of my o2 sensors on my UK TT are knackerd, but i have a spare pair on my jap that im breaking. So i think change them over as the jap ones were perfect. Get my new Snapon 3/8 offset tool, a few bars, and some universal sockets. Sprayed Rust off on them last night to soak em up. 1st attempt, after 10 mins dosent want to move, start swearing at them and threatening to kill them and comments to the manufs. walk away to cool off. 2nd Now have coffee and fag on the go, they must move now as im feeling calmer.........another 10 mins, and the language is getting worse. Spray loads of rust off on them and leave for a while. Go and make and sarnie, watch some tv. 1/2 hour later im now armed with a rubber mallet. 3rd. Within 2 mins of trying, its started to move, only 1/2 a turn but its progress. walk away and think of other ways. More fags, now 4th attempt, instantly give a bit more wellie and the 1/2" adjustible socket snaps and my knuckles clashes with the bulkhead. Loads of swearing, light up again and start knodding at the zed, "yes you bas***d, your trying me, but i will win, dont worry" 5th attempt, Another coffee, and now the big bar comes out, but its got its mate with him. The Blowtorch After heating it to the same as the surface of the sun, i give it one last go, the Snapon tool is ready to rock and roll, I give as much as i can to get the git to move, but the Zed refuses to give us its treasure, so it decisdes to snap another universal socket, and my already glowing hand now punches the underneath of the bonnet, but catches the bulkhead again for good measure. "Fook you" is heard along the south coast from Dover to Lands End. Slam bonnet, throw tools at the garage, and walk away well and truly peed off. Ive smoked all my fags, have sore hands and the dam sensors are just laughing at me. Ive given up, going to get my mate to weld some holders on the zorsts lower down, so they can be accessed, and get some new sensors. Rant Over Stu

  4. The expansion is located directly in front of the wheel. Remove front passenger wheel, then the plastic wheel arch liner, usually 2 10mm nuts and some screws which are attached to bumper. The bottle is there, half way up , there is a neck for the filler, if the water level is over this and the rad is full, on full heat it will leak. Drain when cool to the max level for the expansion bottle, might need to bleed the rad a bit, and top up.
  5. Its in the post today mate. Let me know when you get it. Stu

  18. Anthony this is one thread i keep watching. i admire that you have the nuts to do it, and each time it appears a bit more is done, you should take alot of credit towards it, nice to see someone trying differnt approaches rather than the norm. Looking great mate.
  19. Happy birthday bud, keep us informed re the rebuild.
  20. Use ATF fluid, red stuff, drain it fully. N/A = 8.3 litres TT = 8.2 litres Cheaper to buy 2 x 5ltrs from any motor factors. Stu
  21. Yep i know what you mean Ron, i go via it 3 to 4 times a week, great noise can be produced, even better if im going to Uno's as i have to go through the Culfail at Lewes, Have been known to go through it turnaround at r/a and go back again, get to r/a and do the same thing. Even got stopped by a policeman once, thought i was in the poo. Just a bit of advice, even he stated it sounded great with the dump valves lol
  22. "front headlight incorporating flashing blue neon lights." See thats what we all havent got, thats were the extra ponies come from, must get some from Halfrauds today, i will too have a 500bhp zed. :headvswal
  23. Good stuff Ron, what was up, and what did you get done?
  24. Jimmy, the 3m spray is easily good enough for the flats, as dan says use on both sides leave to go tacky. Also get yourself a seam roller, the type that is used for wallpaper joints. If going down the superglue route for the folds, get some activator for superglue from any plastics trade place. I use this stuff when doing facias, sofits on houses. Glue one side, spray the activator to the other. Join together, its cures the glue very very quickly and strengthens the bond (warning, it is sometimes too fast, dont get it on your fingers. Stu
