  1. PM driveby, he had my old spolier to replace his foam one, i think he has had it done, havent seen any pics yet.
  2. Its threads like this that are nice to read, folks going out of their way to help. Thats what make the club what it is. Im not that far from you mate, and am always popping to Uno's, if you get stuck just ask. Stu
  3. This is how quick we did it.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=90634&highlight=engine+uno
  4. I use this guide when i first tried my engine out and it helped loads. One thing i did differnt, was to remove the complete prop in one hit, not split it. Mark where the bolts are, so they go back same. I also labelled every connection with maksing tape and a number to each side. ie. 1-coilpack 1, 1-colipack conn 1, Get three 30cm extentison bars and a decent 14mm socket on 1/2" drive. This will make getting the top bellhousing bolts of easier. When raising the engine, go nice and slow, keep checking that nothing is still attached, as some of the pipes on the sides of the engine can only be done when block is half out. Ive done 3 now and its a good knowledge curve. Stu
  5. Unreal!!!!!!!! If its rated to the power it states, either it wasnt lined up correctly or something else wasnt right. I changed my clutch last week (was a Standard Nissan one) as it couldnt handle the mods ive got, and it didnt look as bad as that. I would defo be asking q's to the manuf / supplier Stu
  6. Good on you Chris, the other night when i was over, the driveway looked great with mine and your black zeds, now it will look better with 3. After hearing what it has, you make sure its coming to Surrey rolling road. Should be good through the Culfail. When can i have a play:dance:
  7. If it had black wheels, it may be "Driveby", he is from Ealing
  8. Put up some pics and we can tell you, if its a standard or aftermarket, they are not that hard to sort, once you remove the shroud and fan, it pops out,
  9. No worries Chris, good giggle and cheers for the nice beer. You know you have got to show me the new toy first, hush hush. Bullit are you going to Surrey rolling, if so im taking lots of bits up. Stu
  10. Yes you are a newbie Sean, and we can expect stupid questions from you, Nothing changes there then.......:nana2: Good to see you back on line mate, have things calmed down? Pop in for a cuppa when your passing..... Stu
  11. Si, me and mates do the odd bit of Banger racing at a local track, we were given a robin to race in its own class "three wheeler chain together" Basically i was in a fiesta and my mate in the robin. Both chained together side by side. Only lasted 3 laps and he rolled the robin onto the front of me and i continued driving, Fooking funny. I saw one in the local paper for £50 collection, but it went straight away. Really fun car to mess about in.
  12. Ron, after meeting you only once before, and just reading about your ice stuff and now this, think i will be heading upto Dorking soon to see what else is going on. Stu
  13. Lesson learnt after replacing the clutch, had a few bits to sort out ie, a few bolts and adjusting. After in a rush to get the motor running, OVERTIGHTEND the starter motor bolts and sheared the threads.:slap: Went to start today, and one turn then just a whine noise. Checked and the starter was hanging off. So an hour later after retapping the thread to the box with an M12 tap and die and its sorted, Been out testing it, and its so much better.:nana2:
  14. Just over £200 fully comp, all mods, for a UK TT 94 Manual. Been with Norwich Union since day one.
  15. Neil, have pmd you some helpful contacts. Stu
  16. Was sent this, sod trying to fix this leak........... This is what happens when a main storm drain decides to burst.................
  17. After changing the clutch, the complete kit, went direct to excedy, for the plate, cover and bearing, replaced the gearbox mount and sorted the bushes in the gearstick, new oil and lubed everthing up, found the prop washers were wrong way round. Drives superb, and very very smooth. Hit the fun pedal and all hell broke loose. I had discoverd i had boost jets and was running in safety mode a few months back, these were sorted but due to the clutch i couldnt get the power down.. I have since done a throttle body clean and fully sorted the electrics Christ, it was quick before, now its an complete madman. Come on Surrey and Bournemouth rolling road days..................:dance:
  18. Did you go A27,?? if so i was around Petworth and Arundel, should have popped in.
  19. Well after my clutch fiasco yesterday i hit the stella big time, got a stinking head, cut knuckles from the barsteward gearbox, and ive got to top up the gear oil. What joy........................
  20. Today was the day, new clutch time, it started well, everthing off until it came to the bellhousing bolts, someone must have hired guy the gorilla to do them up, besides no fooking room, to get sockets in. After much swearing and ciggies it was off, the new clutch went on no probs, and the rest wasnt too bad. Honestly i thought zed engines were bad, but then it throws O2 sensors and a clutch in the party. I have learnt a big lesson, NEVER NEVER AGAIN will i do it myself. But its in and fully working, just need to adjust it slightly. Give me engines out anyday. Plenty of Stella to be consumed tonight. STU
  21. Matt ive seen various pages on my manual cd, cant find an actual list, if you can be a bit more specific i can sort . Stu
  22. Its not bad in Worthing bit of sunshine, but a cold wind, not worried as today is clutch day, and i will be in a nice warm garage with a ramp and air tools. :nana2:
  23. I never knew how to, but then i became a copper (not any more) and was trained to whilst doing various police driving courses, makes a hell of a differnce now its 2nd nature.
