'Z's today in Newport South Wales
There has always been a few knocking about Newport, my old yellow one was parked in Somerton for a few years and I think Johnboy is from around the Victoria avenue area, pretty sure his is a red shorty. There was also a brown / black coloured Z around the duffryn area.

Wheel choice with 356mm 8 Pot setup
Cheers Dave, as helpful as always!! It's going back into the garage to get rid of the vibration issues ( I hope) then we can take it from there!

Wheel choice with 356mm 8 Pot setup
The 330mm setup works with 15mm spacer with no issues ( you can get a Nates pube between the caliper and wheel) I thought I was buying the same diameter setup that Yewcheck had on there but alas I was wrong and went a little bigger. Not to bothered about the wheel cost as I'm sure I could get a decent amount back for the alloys on there already.

Wheel choice with 356mm 8 Pot setup
Afternoon Folks, As i'm in a bit of a predicament with my choice of new brake setup it has left me with a few options to consider Go for broke and buy the 330mm setup and flog the 358mm fronts. Sell my wheels and change them or something that fits beneath the arch and accommodates the caliper. Those of you who have this setup what type of wheels and tyres do have to allow you to have the larger brake setup, would really rather not go down the arch rolling malarky if I can help it. At the moment the 18's that are on the car hit the inner linings and catch the arch when going over bumps (had to use 25mm spacers). Cheers for all help and advice! Dave.

Wheels Rubbing and vibrations!! :(
Cheers Jaffa, I will get the car back to the garage and get it checked out. As for the D2 setup you might have a point, these wheels are not the most forgiving when it comes to caliper clearance and they might have only had the 330mm discs on it. Oh well, knew I should have settled for the 330mm setup. Might have to change the brakes or wheels, whatever happens it won't be in the too distant future :( just had an offer accepted on a house and unfortunately I have new prioritys.

Wheels Rubbing and vibrations!! :(
Argh, why do I do it, whenever I change something on a 300 it causes me more hassle than its really worth. I upgraded my Brembos to K-sport 8 pots; originally the car had D2 8 pot on it which I thought were the same caliper so shouldnt be an issue. The car had a 15mm spacers on the front which just cleared the D2 setup before it was replaced with the Brembo's. When I had the K-sport setup installed I couldnt get away with using 15mm or 20mm I had to go straight to 25mm Hubcentric spacers (for some reason the caliper required an extra Cm over the D2 setup!). It now looks like the wheels rub on the inner linings and on he arch when turning and going over bumps. What are my options? Tempted just to put in the garage and forgetting about it. I am also getting vibration coming through at around 30 mph and getting progressively more violent as the car picks up speed. Not really driveable at all. Please help, I have spent over £1150 in 2 weeks and I still cant drive the car! I was going to take it to Swindon to get it 4 wheel aligned (to see if it would help), I dont think it would make it in its current situation :( Cheers, Dave.

New brakes!
Gotta pay the bank man for the Fronts first :)

New brakes!
It seems fine on full lock Dave, it does put the wheels out another cm each side but it doesn't appear to cause any issues. I had the wheels balanced after the brakes were sorted but i still get a slight vibration coming through. Not sure what to get checked next tbh, thinking about going for 4 wheel alignment. Any suggestions welcome :)

New brakes!
Just a quick thread to thank Dan @ DTA and Dave (Yewcheck) for helping me get my front brakes sorted. Dan for sorting me out with a good deal for the 356mm 8 Pot setup and Dave for posting me some 5mm spacers for nothing not even the cost of postage when my car was stuck in the garage! All in all it took longer than expected and I had to go for a 25mm hubcentric spacer setup on the front but am very pleased with the result and look! Cheers fellas!:clap: Excuse the size! On another note does anyone recommend a good 4 wheel alignment garage in the chippenham / swindon area?

what size garage is ideal for a car with space to get out
Hey Folks, For the ones of you that are lucky enough to have garages to keep your cars in; what is the ideal size garage that is needed to fit the car in and also to allow you to get out? The misses and I have been looking at houses and all the garages I have seen have been quite pathetic, probably big enough to get a smart car in and comfortably manage to get out of. Obviously the bigger the better but the minimum comfortably required would be handy :) It seems like the older the house the bigger the garage! Cheers, Dave. Can someone edit the title to something that represents the text please, my laptop had a spazzy 5 mins :)

Dimensions: Width and Length!
Not sure if i'm being a bit special but I have tried a search and I can't find the dimensions of the zed; width and length, I would measure mine but it's in the garage having the brakes done. The misses and I are looking to buy our first house together and my only stipulation is a garage large enough for the zed and tools! Looking for LWB size, most garages I have seen have been quite small and as the ones who have met me will know i'm a bit of a big fella so I need to find a garage that I can park the car in and actually get out of :) Cheers in advance, Dave

Guess what...?
Congratulations! You've done the hardwork, time for your misses to put the effort in now

Time for me to say goodbye. :(
Cheers, if you have some nice ones post em up, could do with making a new signiture :) I do miss my multicoloured yellow zed though!!

Time for me to say goodbye. :(
Deffo an age thing, one reason I bought Yewcheck's was that I could drive and talk / hear Passengers. Obviously if the misses is talking to me I pretend that I'm back in my old car :)

Brake Query
bugger!

Brake Query
Good afternoon! I have noticed that I am getting a fair bit of judder when braking and that I get squealing when braking from low speed. The brake setup is from the Silver streak (R33) and the discs and pads were replaced about two years ago. There doesnt appear to be many miles put on the car since they were replaced but I dont know how they were treated when they were on the car. My local garage has suggested that the discs are slightly warped hense the judder but I was wondering before I start outlaying more money if theres anything else that could cause these issues? Many Thanks as always! Dave.

Car will not tickover once warm!

Gaitor replacement
Good Afternoon, Is there a diagram for how to remove the handbrake and gearstick gaitors. I'm a little ham fistered so I would like to know what I have to remove and what not to do to get at them. Probably quite simple but I like to be safer thsn sorry!! Cheers, Dave.

wow shocking
I went there at the beginning of the month. Was a little more extreme than I thought it was going to be. I will go back when I've dropped some weight, 22st is to much to lug around there. Great day out though and I still have the scars to prove it :)
