  1. I'm living in Wiltshire at the moment, more than will to pop over the border for a meet or two though! :)
  2. Cheers for the advice fella's As far as I know its a series 1 PTU. The garage said that they swapped the coilpacks around but the fault was always with the same injector I will take another look at the weekend for dirt on the connectors. Might have to spend even more money on the car! :)
  3. Hey Fella, I took the car into the garage for a simple plugs, fluids and filters change. I had a slight misfire on the left side and I asked if they could check to see what was causing it. Besides that the car was running fine (well it uses a litte water but i have no idea where it's going). When i went to collect it they told me that the back left spark plug wasnt getting wet and suspected that it might be a faulty / dirty injector. Now the car is doesnt seem to be running as responsive as it did, sounds like a spluttering yank V8 and has developed a bit of a shake! Could simply changing the plugs have caused all this? possibly unmasking an underlying problem? I've been through the engine bay checking for lose connections and the like but as I said before i'm a novice when it comes to engines! I have the car booked into the bodyshop for some work but cant see the point in continuing if theres serious problems under the bonnet! Cheers, Dave.
  4. Hey Folks, I'm new to the South Central area. Was living in Wales until a few months ago, then I moved to Calne! Since moving here I have had endless problems with the car, thought a full service might cure it but alas has made it worse!! I'm very much a novice when it comes to engines and wondered if anyone on here who lives around or about the Chippenham, Swindon area could help me figure out what is wrong with the car before I decide how I want to progress with it! More than willing to pay for fuel and can make a mean cuppa tea :) Please help if you can! :) Dave.
  5. 1 car on the driveway doesnt constitute a mini meet :hyper: Good luck Anthony!
  6. The joys of welsh schooling, rugby always took precedence over footie :)
  7. I was like that, went to my one and only welsh meet where I think we managed to get 9 together (I think there has only been two since I have owned my Zed) then a week later finally saw John's Zed on the road! Nothing since then.
  8. You can't miss her when you see her, although she is off the road at the moment until I figure out whats wrong with her!! :) I might venture back for a Welsh meet of two when she's up and running again! My boss said he's seen a few 300's around the Ponty area. he can usually be found in a red 240 or a grey 350 :)
  9. Originally from Maindee but currently living in Calne in Wiltshire. Theres no need to get stressed about Welsh sport, you expect them to F*ck up so when they actually win something you are presently suprised :)
  10. It's still wide open, any of the top 4 can still win! As long as it's Wales!
  11. Cheers for the advice Steve, I will have to have a look under the hood this weekend and see if theres anything I can do, Unfortunaly i'm as good at repairing cars as I am at rocket science! Thanks for the nice words about my zed also :) Anyone in Wiltshire a dab hand with these machines that could possibly take a look over her? Dave.
  12. The car went in for a full service, filters, oils, spark plugs etc Also whilst it was there I asked them to have a look at a slight misfire that was occuring whilst cold, it seemed to clear when it was at full temp. Now I have had the car back the car seems way down on power and has a nasty burbling sound when idling and driving at low speeds. They said when the changed the plugs that they noticed that one of the plugs wasnt getting wet at all and diagnosed that one of the injectors was gone. Would a simple service have disturbed something to show an underlying problem i.e now only firing on 5 cylinders or is there a chance that they have messed something up? What ever seems to have arrisen I fear its going to be expensive and after spending over £1000 on her this month I suspect I might need to get saving! Cheers, Dave.

  22. Just come home to find my back door kicked in and my bloody telly missing! Im impressed that they managed to get a 46" TV over my back fence but they managed it! Left everything else though, computers, hifi equipment, PS3 1000 odd DVD's etc. Nothing the police can do, so time to sit and wait for the door to be boarded up. Thank God for insurance!!
