  1. sounds like they are wrong to me.should have a circlip in a groove on to stop it. The circlip is so small it came off mine whilst i was letting the spring go on first attempt - seems alright now tho.
  2. When i first had my car i was showing a mate along a country road, when some pr1ck in a BMW was driving along not looking where he was going and ended up on the wrong side of the road coming straight towards me. After poopping myself I tried pressing the horn, this was the first time i had used it and found out how crp it was. Luckily he woke up and swerved out of my way, just making me touch the grass verge. Anyway the moral of the story is when I was going to check the horn it was half fallen off creating a pathetic drone, but even when it was fixed it was still almost as bad. Buy an air horn!;)
  3. Yeah, had them in my car every since i have had it so don't know what difference they make. Never had any problems. Still going strong for 2 years.
  4. Sounds like a fuel problem to me. Maybe someone syfened all your petrol out while you where away.
  5. Pretty straight foward, just make sure you get the cup which holds the spring up the right way unlike me and have to take it all off again when the car sits too high.
  6. If you lot decide to book this count me in big time. My car is a right bitch to drive at moment, really needs sorting!
  7. get a bit more and go for a Honda S2000. They look sweet. Still don't have back seats tho. still can't be perfect like the old Z.
  8. Mathew, first part here help to remove inlet plenum: http://www.ttaz.org/tech/injectors/ hth
  9. I have to agree with mark. why not take the top apart first, just the camshafts then you can see if the valves are stuck down. You didn't drop anything down whilst the spark plugs where out did you?
  10. Andy's fix normally works. Sorted mine fine. If not there is one on ebay at mo: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33673&item=1876407747
  11. I thought the bigger the better!:) But its not the size it's what you do with it that counts!;)
  12. How many litres of paint do spray shops normally put on when spraying the complete car? Think paint at £453 a litre might be a bit expensive!
  13. I agree with you. I thought the pipes where supposed to be connected straight to the turbo wastegates, which are easiest to get to underneath the car.
  14. Have you looked at the sump- it is almost as hard to get to as taking the engine out. you need to drop all the suspension. how long did the engine start for? will it turn the opposite way with a spanner on the pulley?
  15. Need my camber, caster and all that checking and probably adjusting, but ATS don;t seem to be able to do any except the tracking. Recommended Nissan or Gladwins. Seem to recon it will cost about £70-80 just for the check, then an hourly rate on top. Where did everyone else get there camber etc checked/adjusted?
  16. thinking of buying a bov, which sounds the best?
  17. After my engine rebuild i was using Mobil 1 fully synthetic but it used to burn quite a bit, since then I don't think it bedded the engine in very well (worked too well) so have changed to Magnatex semi synthetic and it seems to have stopped burning oil (touch wood). Don't really think you need fully synthetic plus it costs alot more. There has been alot of talk on this in the past - use the search.
  18. Hi Mr. Smith. 1. Check brake fluid level. If ok I should get the pads changed and see if the brake warning light goes out. Check power steering fluid - normally makes hicas light come on. 2. Haven't got a clue. 3. Check the level in the gearbox. Is it auto or manual. If a manual does the noise stop when putting foot on clutch. Found out mine had no oil the hard way - new box. HTH
  19. Do you have to pay import duties and tax on orders in europe or just the US.
  20. When lowering springs are fitted do the caster and camber angles stay the sameas stock or do they differ, if they differ how much by

i had a bit on one of the corner windows and it just peeled straight off and cleaned with window cleaner. must have been lucky!
  22. i had the same problem but only after fitting a new gearbox. I have to have washers inbetween the stater and the casing. I recon that turbo and non are very slighty different size. Have you had the correct one fitted.
  23. my tyres are wearing on the inside edge. does this mean they are toeing in or out. does anyone have camber and caster angles that should be to hand.
  24. yes i have a blitz sus air filter and hks evc4 boost controller. how big does this ball have to be in the air filter, does it ust sit there loose?
  25. I have a problem. Just fitted uprated intercoolers reset the ecu so not that. When under WOT and pressure gets high the whole engine just dies. It doesn't cut out as no ignition lights come on, just looses all power until the throttle is slightly lifted off. At moment the evc is running at 0.95bar. Was wandering if it is the injectors maxxing out, but the boost pressure isn't really that high, and it doesn't feel like it is running out of fuel more an electrical problem. can the ecu (SE) be cutting something out? Please help as it tends to be a bit dangerous overtaking. It cut out 3 times whilst overtaking one car with a lorry coming opposite way. Felt like a twat that couldn't drive.
