brilliant! :) - how easy is to change these lines? Im still having nightmares about my power steering - do i have to take much out to change these?

I recall reading on here a while ago that some pipes are common to go pourous on these cars and cause fuel leaks. mine stinks like hell when i start her up - where should i be looking - what is likely to be leaking?

had an annoying ordeal with my TT import. Have just finished my luuuurvly boot install (pics to follow) and all was great... for a few hours. the next day, I opened up the boot (via the pullswitch in the drivers side - push for fuelcap, pull for bootcatch) to open up the boot to show of, my, er boot. the same time the fuel flap opened up, and it seems that the catch has gone up inside the car. doh!!! anyone else had this problem before, and can advise the easiest way to get to this blighter?

Royal - the pads have loads of meat left on them. it was only a build up upon the edge of the disc. ground them off. and all is fine. problem resolved.

just so one of you may have the same problem, the issue was on the front discs not the rear - so apologies for that, there was a buildup on the edge of the disk that was causing the awful sound. a grinder and some swearing has resolved the problem.

the wonders of buying a new car eh, something else that is driving me nuts. there is a slight electrical fault with it. Problem #1 the clock on the dash, most of the time it works, some times its really dim, and some times it does not work at all.I have checked the wires on the clock, and all seem ok, so im guessing it is a problem with the earth? - see question 2, as they may well be linked. Problem #2 The warning light for the open doors appears to be dodgy, when a door is open, it lights up fine, no problems. when the doors are closed theres a mild red glow coming from the dash, which, I assume is a bad earth (perhaps related to issue 1?) problem is, due to this. my door light always stays on unless i manually switch off, as it thinks that the door is open! do you think are both due to the earth? are they both earthed at the same location, as it would make some sense (a single dodgy earth connection)

1990 300zx Auto (import) guys, was driving into work today, and after going over 30mph the back starts to squeal, 1st from one side, and then the other. its sounds very likely like work braks rubbing when the brakes arent in use, but if i brake sudenly, the noise doesnt change, so I am fairly unsure that it is that, my next guess was the steering, again no change in noise and pitch. will put her up on the ramps tonight to try and find the problem, but does anyone have any ideas of what it could be before i jump under the car?

thank you - i havent had the car for long, but the engine runs sweet as a nut, it doesnt burn any at all, and theres no leak at all, from the engine, or the gearbox. I knew most jap turbo cars run on a low ressure anyway, but from what you say, as long as the guage is doing something (ie not dropping to 0, or 8 bar) i have sweet fa to worry about :)

Guys, Can I have your opinions on the following please? I have a '90 Import TT Auto, and well, I find the oil pressure to be quite low on it. what is considered normal?? on a run, it may go up to about 3.5KG/Cm2 - however after an hour run (i commute a lot) it idles at 0.5 - 0.7KG/CM2 I know the oil is ok, as i just change the oil and put magnatec in there. is this pressure ok, and if not, what should i be getting?

i can now see that Castrol are making an ATF Dexron III - is this different and not advised in the steering, or just the new alternative to 1 and 2. sorry for all the questions, but i dont want to kill my steering, asi hear the 300 can be a bit picky on this front :)

it has been a long hard day, so any preferance over I or II - also, how much of it will i need?

guys, my new power steering hose is due to arrive on friday, so the car will be back on the road. hurrah!! what fluid should i be using in the power steering system, just your average-joe ATF? or do nissan have some wonder fluid i should be using?

I have just had a power steering pipe go on '90 TT import Nissan have quoted me £285 for the pipe, is there anywhere (preferably not scrapyards) that may also sell the part that I require?

guys, got most of the stero work done now, and my only stump is the aerial. its a 2pin coak lead (jap standard i take it) I know noises were made that you can buy adaptors for it, but can someone point me in the right direction for me please? thanks in advance.

thanks for the heads up sir :) i hope not, the supra was a mare, had to unplug all the dash controls, and remove the whole dash to change :( I can see 4 screws so far (the covers were missing when i bought her) 2 by the fan grills, and 2 just above the the top bay, is there any more? also, can you help - the unit i havbe in her has a tape deck *spit* and cd unit (2 units) I will want to take both out, so can i get a blanking plate for one of them?? ideally, if someone, has one, can i see a pic... i want one, and modift it, so i can put my amp gains in there.

hi guys, hopefull you can help. I have spent all day replacing a main feed hose pipe on the power steering and cant be arsed to do any more to the car today. but is there anything i should be warned about before i change the car stereo? is it very easy to take out ? or do i have to take the whole dash out (like i had to with my supra) Guys, any tips before i start would be very helpfull indeed :)
