  1. Sounds like you may need to drain / flush the fuel tank too. Easy job though
  2. I assume you have installed the calipers the right way up ????????
  3. All Z's have the controlled power steering. In fact just about any modern car you name has some form of power steering control otherwise they are VERY twitchy at high speed e.g. first edition front wheel drive Mitsubish Sigma (don't know what they call them over there)
  4. The valve is to control the amount of power steering. More at lower speed, less at higher speed. If you do manage to bypass it and have a normal low speed power steering, you'll fall off the road at high speed. Connect it back to the controller. Find the wires.
  5. Put the NA rack back in? Is there a difference?
  6. The lower the voltage to the solenoid the heavier the steering. Connect it back up to the power steering controller
  7. If you are running the Nissan ECU, it will be trying to sort the idle mix out and when it runs out of control range, it resets itself to start the relearn process. This is when it goes rich then starts to lean out again. Had exactly the same problem. Perhaps try this to see if it sorts the idle then go from there.
  8. Bit much for a Doolz set up. Think from memory you need a 70% increase not 100%
  9. Try setting your TPS to a slightly higher voltage, say 0.55V and see is it makes a difference
  10. If you have a series 1 PTU, it could be that. Many "when it gets warm problem" caused by those
  11. A shock will only extend by itself if it's is pressurised. The reason for pressurisation is to reduce the formation of gas bubbles. It is not intended to lift the vehicle in any way. Not all shocks are pressurised either.
  12. Only if it's starting to get sticky :)
  13. http://www.ecu-remapping-service.com/ ???? Never heard of them
  14. I got told off for powder coating mags as the heat involved weakens them slightly. In saying that, I haven't had a problem yet.
  15. My Jap car has one. Only a very simple U bend bit of pipe but it's there. What is fitted to the UK models?
  16. The biggest capacitor you can get is a battery. Make sure you have a good one, check everything is tight and clean and there will be no problems
  17. You're going to what it?
  18. So why were the shocks controlled by the handbrake ??????
  19. I haven't heard many good things re an alloy driveshafts on a TT. Too much torque for it to stay in one piece
  20. Sorry for the confusion. I was only refering to the Superchips brand. Can't edit my posts so made a quick comment which, looking back, can be taken out of context. A good chip is worth it's weight in gold :)
  21. Superchips are well known ..... for destroying engines
  22. Shouldn't be a problem. If it's too much it will come out the breather
  23. Crickey .... I was worried about a little palm sized rough patch I found on my car. It pales in comparison. Well done. Truly inspirational.
