  1. Reckon I owe you one(DRINK!!) for the breakers yard tip, although ended up at Silverlake, so if you're at South Central Christmas bash, it'd be my pleasure
  2. Easy tiger, one of the strong points of this forum is that it's like being down the pub with a bunch of like-minded mates. But sometimes it's easy to forget that 'jokes' don't always come across too well on forums....when it's 'face-to-face' you can see it's meant as a joke and also judge the mood of other people so you can tell when someones likely to take offence, doesn't work like that on a forum like this one - you can't just buy someone a pint when they're the other end of the country!!! Come on, we're all here for the camaraderie, so drink-up folks :duffer:
  3. OK, tried that and she said "Yeah, you can get me an MR-2"......at least the Micra has a bit of character, mind you so would an MR-2 by the time she'd finished with it!!! :headvswal
  4. My missus has just informed me that her 'little green micra' is a "boy" not a "man" and she calls it 'The Lizard'.............what can I say!!!!
  5. oooooooh, someones living dangerously!!!!!
  6. Interesting idea...but I think it's been done before
  7. Hear, hear, thoughts go out to you and your family, RIP
  8. Bit harsh on the moose.......but I have to agree she's not pretty, really can't explain what it is about her - but she's definitely got something ....just don't tell the missus 'coz she really would be insulted...then very, very violent!!!!
  9. Had HER for 5 years this month, so 11 years in Japan - the rest with me, I don't include the crook, sorry nice car-salesman, that I bought HER from.
  10. I've known quite a few butch women, very scary ladies!!!!
  11. Sorry Si, but my Zed is DEFINITELY female, unpredictable, serious mood swings....just when you think everything is going OK you do "something" -without even knowing it - and it all turns to rats**t. I'll never understand exactly how 'she' works, why 'she' works (or doesn't) or how to keep 'her' happy all the time or even why I keep 'her'.......hence my Zed IS female and affectionately known as "Betty"!!! Oh, I almost forgot the "takes most of my money" bit as well...the missus takes the rest!!!! But I love 'em both
  12. Hmmmm.....Billy Piper....oooops, sorry, what was the question, Oh yes - best Dr. Who, I remember now.....Eggleston for me, never liked Dr. Who as a kid (no sofa to hide behind), although Pertwee and Baker both portrayed him well. Eggleston just had an interesting mix of compassion, understanding and evil which made him more believeable - which just appealed to me.
  13. I know many people have posted thanks to Luke on here, but wanted to add mine!! Bought a set of 6-pot venoms and had problems linking them with the high level brake LED on my viper rear spoiler - basically it acted as side and brake instead of just brake!!! Luke was superb, numerous e-mails and phone calls and he found the solution, after he'd stripped his own car down to find the problem!!! I now have venoms which work/look great and a high level brake light that does what it's suposed to do!!! He knows his stuff, is easy to talk to and treats you like a person, not a nuisance...what a star. Thanks mate, Steve

Oh dear, I hope Karl hasn't read this, LOL!!!! especially if you're giving him a lift back down south!!
  15. Well, now I know you're mad, LOL!!!!! Sounds like it's the best way to sort the probs, shame, but you'll need to do some serious cycling after that burger on Sunday!!! Have fun mate, trust you're still up for the Chrimbo bash, cheers, Steve
  16. Well said that man!!!! It's all a matter of personal preference, whilst it's good to have others thoughts, it'll eventually come down to what you want after all you're the one paying the money and driving the car!! The choice is yours, whichever lights you go for, enjoy!!

Never mind mate, as we said it could easily have been any of us, glad you got back OK...not going to ask what time!! Hope it's not too difficult to sort out....another stunning piece of Japanese design! There was talk of organising bowling as part of the Christmas bash, so your 'chance to shine' will come!!! Cheers, Steve

Just a quick thanks to Gaz and Scotty for organising the IOW run, pity it didn't go to plan, but thats zeds for you! Hope everyone got home safely and at a reasonable time (sorry Rodders!!), was good to meet up and put faces to names - the missus was pleased she wasn't the only 'zed-widow'. All said and done, good weather, good food, good company and an evening picnic on the downs, cheers all...look forward to meeting you at Christmas, if not before, Steve
  19. Wow, can't knock that for service!!! look forward to getting my copy. Have just paid via Paypal and PM'd my address details to you. Cheers, Steve
  20. As long a something good comes out of it and no-one got hurt I guess thats the best you can hope for. Looking forward to weekend, have got ticket sorted etc, will PM you for details, cheers mate, Steve
  21. FFS, sorry to hear that, zed was looking well smart as well - please tell me that's not buggered up all your good work, hope it's not too bad, assume no-one was hurt? As for "soppy tart" I think I'd have used a somewhat stronger phrase!!! Is there something we 'grockels' need to know about IOW drivers before we come over there??
  22. Don't forget me lads, or have I been banished??? I did add my name after Karl started the recount, but not too clever with this IT stuff!!!! Me and Missus will be there...makes 11....almost there Scotty!!!
  23. Yeah, same thoughts here, got 6 pots on my jap and they look ace and with the outer LEDs working as sides and brakes they're great. Wiring can be a touch fiddly but well worth it. Go on, be brave and loose the "Battlestar Galactica" 90's look!!!! Now, THATS me asking for trouble!!!
  24. moby+missus...hopefully in the zed!!!!
  25. Aww, come on lads, the mere mention of a Micra and people start getting the jitters....and I haven't even mentioned the colour.....or stickers!!!!! Seriously though, hope everyone gets sorted and can make it, I promise I will do my utmost to be in the zed, but either way I'll be there in my 'roll-neck' Cheers, Steve
