tour de island (isle of wight) SUNDAY 29TH OCT no junk please
Oh, no...hope it wasn't the possibility of being seen with a Micra instead of a zed...we'd keep a respectful distance...honest...... actually that could be a lie as the missus quite likes the idea of her little car in the middle of a zed convoy!!! Ah, well.... "then there were five"!!!

tour de island (isle of wight) SUNDAY 29TH OCT no junk please
Have done!! Having had such good weather this week-end, ha bloody ha, I wasn't able to get zed back together......interiors still in bits and panels scattered around the dining room!! Hopefully I'll get it sorted to a reasonable point for Sunday - failing that we'll be there in a Nissan, bit it'll be slightly smaller than a Zed, just don't laugh 'cos the missus loves her car!! See you all Sunday, cheers, Steve

Proper British technician !!
They did that at this years Goodwood festival of speed, you could hear it right across the whole site, bloody impressive, although a tad painful close-up!!! Obviously made more satisfying coming from a French car...Hmmmm, wonder if they could try it with the BMW!!!

Pics of the pink beast
OK, I said I was curious and looking forward to seeing the pix.....must agree with several others, not quite my thing, but top marks for individuality - certainly going to get noticed. You knew what this lot would say long before you got her (sorry, but it's definitly a female zed!!) painted and still went for it, so good on you. Hope to see her in the flesh one day as I'm sure the photos don't do the sparkly stuff justice. For what it's worth I reckon chrome wheels and "pink the tail-strip" Glad you're happy with the look, hope you'll be back on the road soon and laping up the attention.

Check out this crash
Jesus, lucky doesn't really begin to cover that, can't believe he got up and walked away (well, staggered - very understandably) Just glad both drivers are OK

tour de island (isle of wight) SUNDAY 29TH OCT no junk please
Hmmmm, good point......haven't got sat-nav, but the missus is incredibly good at map reading!!! I'm reasonably confident we'd be able to find you with the help of google maps etc. Got to give it a go anyway, I've bought a black roll-neck specially for the occasion (sorry Gaz, couldn't resist, been wearing them for years myself, well, can't do t-shirts in winter .....but I'm at 'that' age)!!

tour de island (isle of wight) SUNDAY 29TH OCT no junk please
Assuming I'm the only one screwing up the days plans, could I just catch-up with you wherever you're doing lunch?? I reckon that would be easiest for all concerned. Cheers, steve

original rear lights or lambo/ferrari look
just fitted venom six-pots on mine and I reckon they're a vast improvement on the "sci-fi" look originals. Of course, as everyones said, it's down to personal preference and how you feel about the end result, after all you're the one driving her around. By the way, mines standard metallic grey and I considered matching the lights to that - eventually went with the gloss black finish as it matched the rear perspex strip and must say all looks just right!!

Fitting 99 spec rear lights
Moby - I used WD40 to get the tar off my hands last time, works a treat... Now, why didn't I think of that...................never mind, nice to know for next time!! Cheers
-
Fitting 99 spec rear lights
when I bought my rear lights from Z-centre, Luke supplied a tube of black sealer which both sticks and seals the light cluster - might be worth giving him a ring!!! Be warned though, if you get it on your hands it's a pig to shift, tried white spirit, thinners, swarfega etc and still had the c**p on fingers for days!!! have fun!!!

Hiya, was planning on the 10AM from Pompey but found out last night that we're going to a party Saturday night, so I would guess it's more likely to be the 11AM. cheers, Steve

tour de island (isle of wight) SUNDAY 29TH OCT no junk please
will meet you all on Island, Scotty can you give me some idea of where would be best to meet up prior to lunch.....bearing in mind I'm not the Worlds best "morning person" - the missus is worse than me, but she can sleep in the car!!!!!! Cheers for the effort you and Gaz have put into this, looking forward to putting faces to names etc

tour de island (isle of wight)
evening all, 7AM...on a Sunday..even the church bell-ringer doesn't get up that early.....bit too early for me to start off, but if you can give me some idea of where you're planning to go I'd love to catch up with you all once I've woken up. Thats assuming I can sort out a "minor" hic-up with my new venom rear lights...not exactly legal at the moment...ho, hum, never a dull moment!! Cheers, Steve PS, would be coming over from Pompey for my sins!!

HID: Take a moment to laugh at my expense
Hmmm, didn't get chance to attempt fitting mine this week-end, glad I read this before trying as I'd probably do the same silly thing. Mind you, as already mentioned I doubt I'd have been brave/daft enough to post it on here...so good on yer!!

Banned
Well, I joined you lot after visiting the site numerous times and the reason I did so was the damn'd good technical stuff, advice and helpful nature of all concerned - I've learnt more about and done more with my zed in the last couple of months than the previous 5 years ownership!! OK, sometimes there are things on the site that raise an eyebrow (or sharp intake of breath!!!) and yes, it can seem very, very cliquey, but as people have already said, if you don't want to get involved, don't go into 'NZR' although it does occasionally spill over into the technical areas. As for banning I guess there will always be a need to watch for the odd one or two who overstep the mark and unfortunately a deterant is sometimes the only way, but surely we should all be mature enough to accept a slap on the wrist and appologise to those offended.........OK, I'm not naturally optomistic but come on!!! I've got absolutely no regrets about the subscription, money well spent and hopefully I'll get to meet some of the reprobates around my area soon. Enough said, off home now!!!!!

wake up USA ... listen to robin LMFAO
No worries, I get that a lot.......just tooooooooo sensitive I guess!!!!!!

wake up USA ... listen to robin LMFAO
Sorry mate, wasn't refering to all Americans...have got several good American freinds and don't have problems. However, there are some pretty spectacular differences in what "some " Americans call English and 'Proper English' like wot I talk!!! Afraid it's just my warped sense of humour, keep forgetting it doesn't always work on e-mail!!

Nick names
Moby is as moby does.... been with me for more years than I'm prepared to mention!!! along with 'Jonah' guess having Whale as a surname might be a clue!!! both used to annoy when I was a kid, but now I realise just how much worse things could have been!!!

I gave up on Lost half way through this series, after I heard they'd got enough material for 7 series!!!!!!...sorry, but my poor brain just couldn't face that. Shame 'cos I thought the first series was superb, but there ya go
