Who was the best Doctor Who, and WHY!

My favourite is Colin Baker - mad, eccentric and arrogant. Although hands down Tom Baker is THE Doctor Who

i hate doctor who with a passion

I think Tom Baker is the definitive Dr Who. He's just one of the few that wasn't too old and didn't come across as a total tw@t. Don't like Dr who anymore though.

john pertwee no question and he came on after cat weasel

It's between Pertwee & Baker for me. Baker gets my vote though

you didnt mention peter cusion in the films

Love the Dr, they all had somethings different to offer :hyper: :hyper:

Colin Baker is a big fat man. Well he is now anyway. He's the one with the very colourful suit. Richrd E Grant would have been good.

He has the most amazing voice I could listen to him all day.

ok here goes:

William Hartnell: pretty good, although obviously DW was in its infancy. needed a sprinkling of nastiness. acted too much like a grandfather (and thats exactly what he was in the first few episodes!)

Patrick Troughton: not bad. a bit helpless, no disrespect to him. again, DW was still young back then

John Pertwee: now we're getting somewhere! flamboyant, short-tempered but still polite. one of the best ones.

Tom Baker:  mysterious, random, polite, witty, scary. those eyes. that scarf. the best one.

Peter Davison: an excellent Doctor as well. a little too polite imo but one of the best

Colin Baker: love him or hate him. my favourite. full of himself, egocentric, a little more active than the others, a lot more energetic. was a bit nasty to Perry tho. [wasnt she just gorgeous]

Sylvester McCoy: crap. snappy. was the only Doctor not to take over the whole stage no matter what the situation.

Paul McGann: needed shooting. gay. didnt come across as being 900 years old!

Christopher Eccleston: over 25 years had passed since the last episode of the series so a big jump required to modernise things. pretty good. good balance between shouting/being dominant and being friendly and a fool

David Tennant: about the same as Chris. too much of a deliberate fool but he's ok.

...discuss... :nana2:

I always imagine David Tennant would start singing Muse songs as he looks just like Muse frontman Matt Bellamy.

Colin Baker did have a good voice. Didn't he have violence issues as the doctor? Seem to remember him being a bit nastyt. I started watching during the Peter Davidson years so was always fond of him. All I know is they shoulda chucked Bonnie Langford off a cliff. She didn't half hurt my ears.

no idea of the name. but was the old fella in the black and white movie.

remember shitting myself when the darleks came down teh ramp and hiding behind the sofa.

Tom Baker - not for doctor who cos its shit!

Tom Baker because he did the voice over for Little Britain and that was  Everybody knows that the word PUB stands for 'Philip's Uncles Boat'.........

Tom Baker - cos he looks and sounds like an alien Timelord from Galifrey

lets get politicaly correct here now the next doctor will be doctor patel!!

Hmmmm.....Billy Piper....oooops, sorry, what was the question, Oh yes - best Dr. Who, I remember now.....Eggleston for me, never liked Dr. Who as a kid (no sofa to hide behind), although Pertwee and Baker both portrayed him well. Eggleston just had an interesting mix of compassion, understanding and evil which made him more believeable - which just appealed to me.

Billy piper is a moose she looks like she's been smacked in the face by the tardis door

It was a toss up between Tom Baker and Christopher Eccleston but I prefer the latter but can't really explain why.

Billy piper is a moose she looks like she's been smacked in the face by the tardis door

Bit harsh on the moose.......but I have to agree she's not pretty, really can't explain what it is about her - but she's definitely got something ....just don't tell the missus 'coz she really would be insulted...then very, very violent!!!!

didn't billy piper used to do the cable adverts with Johnny vegas?

Thing is with Billie I know I'm halfway there cos she likes

Ginger *****x
