  1. hi mate, if it helps ive got spare front and rear seats. the bolster is a bit tatty on the drivers seat but generally good, taking up room. they are cream leather btw yours for a nominal few beer tokens. im only just down the road might have a few other bits to help out too
  2. i put up a message on the meister section but no reply yet, im after a good set for my swb too
  3. sorry yep. if your on a 265 35 on the back. im used to 17s good choice of wheel, bbs' were a factory option anyway should look sweet
  4. i agree with pete 235 45 on the front
  5. just checked mine with a magnet, bad news mate
  6. if its steel mate then yes, sort of. you cant really lacquer over polished steel as it has no adhesion. however the expensive part of getting something chromed is the polishing so if it is steel then it would be ideal for chroming. looking at the pics though it looks a little more like alloy. ill go check mine mate
  7. are these alumnium mate. always thought they were steel
  8. thanks for the excellent response mate. That will be really helpful, i think your way is more like how i wanted to go. im going to remove all the unnecessary bits off the plenum before i powder it etc and i dont want the fuel lines etc running over it so im going to remove the std connections to the regulator and damper from the fuel rail and braze on some -6 unions onto the back. then the fuel lines will exit out the back out of sight. ill hide the fpr down the back then and route the lines down the back of the engine. i have already relocated the fuel filter where the passenger side aiv valve was and the fuel lines are just tweaked to go under the chassis rail. also just read up on using skyline coil packs that are alot shorter and could sit under a cover between the cams instead of poking up through the plenum. no wires etc but would mean a plenum pull to get to the plugs. undecided on this though. ill have to "pop" over to see your zed one day as the mrs has been trying to get me over to NZ for ages as she lived there for a year.
  9. loving your work mate got any pics and tips on the engine loom tuck. still working on the underside of the car at the moment but ive already removed all the extra brackets and welded up any spare holes in the engine bay. im going to be doing a complete loom tuck and fuel line reroute so that the plenum is totally uncluttered so some advice would be handy. ive already done most of the loom around the rest of the bay,inc moving the fuse box to under the nose. keep up the good work
  10. they get a lot worse than that over here
  11. engine bay looks great except the lack of turbos, in fact i was planning on a crackle black plenum with white covers, i think that is confirmed now. i love the exterior treatment, again very similar to how im going, although i am planning on a few extra removals, eg antenna and wiper etc. not a big fan of the hellaflush look on the wheels though and the rear arches look like they have been bashed around a bit. nice car though, shame they dont post a decent interior pic
  12. Thanks mate, you dont get if you dont ask:dance:
  13. bought on ebay mate. i would also be interested in the washers too if thats not taking the mick:biggrin:
  14. infact ill take the gear knob too, should i buy it on ebay or save you the fees?
  15. i would like the clutch master cylinder kit i would need it posted but i would be more than willing to pay a bit extra for your trouble
  16. assuming its the front about £26 zed centre you will need a press and pullers
  17. nice to see your still going at the refurb. not to bad really. worst bit is getting the huge nut off the drive shaft. basically undo the drive shaft nut first, disconnect the brakes, unbolt the suspension arms and the whole lot should come off. the bearing/hub is held on with 4 small bolts and one big one at the top
  18. Just seen this mate, very well done all of your pics remind me of my project. i think we are at almost exactly the same stage, i am waiting till spring now to paint the shell so its engine/suspension bits for me too (once the welding under the car is done) the engine bay looks good, what colour are you going, black i guess
  19. your maf has become disconnected i would think
  20. here is one of my current wheels, and a std wheel in the background
  21. quite high from what ive read, about an et50 is usual, id be looking to drop to about et20 so should be fine. what do you think of the look
  22. i have the technology to deal with that bud, i was going to make up some hubcentric spacers anyways :hammer:
  23. long way off still but im thinking of wheels for the car once its done currently i have a set of refurbed enkei rp01s 17" 9j front 10j rear, they are a classic 5 spoke which i think will suit the car very well, but ages ago i saw a zed running on what look like big oem wheels (18s i think) and i really like that look. im not sure if they are what i saw ( i think it was dazvert who posted the pic) but i am thinking of going for a set of porsche turbo twists, ideally 18" and at least 10" on the back any thoughts, any pics?
