Don't know the depth but i can say that the speakers I broguth with these specs: Mounting Depth 2-1/16" (53mm) Mid-Woofer, will fit. Hope that helps. Don't think many people will know this info off hand.

So many tt owners running out of runway, where are the na owners saying stuff like "pushed it to 149 and it wouldn't give me any more" or words to that effect. In conclusion, NA drivers are all sensible souls who don't want to kill themselves and others. But I aint judgin mind ;)

I have to say whenever I see the newer preludes (and I believe the 2.2 vtec is one of them) I do like the look of them. Theyve smartened up the back end a lot compared to the old model. Good luck in choosing anyway. At least its a nice dilemma.

This is a very good point. However I was in a similar situation last year looking at preludes and various other much newer cars. However the zed fit my wishes perfectly (targas, 4 seats, cool looks) so I ended up getting an NA. And yes with elephant at least the import NA is more to insure than a uk tt. The insurance group for these cars are surprisingly low. As for 0-60 times for an na they vary greatly from site to site and often dont say whether it is for the manual or auto. I would estimate a manual NA would have done about 7 seconds with a stig and good conditions. 15 years later, on normal roads and with us driving I would say it would take us about 8 (stock). Remember not to compare this more realistic value with factory figures of other cars. mpg is roughly about 22 combined and is only marginally better than the tt. In terms of money the TT will hit you with the repair costs. Having said that, if you buy carefully uou can get a mint tt or if you buy badly get a dogged NA. I have an NA though and absolutely love it. Hope that helps. Al
