Setting base idle
ah right so you'd still have to twist the screw but without removing the yelow connector?

These any good?
too late now I already brought these ones. I'm only really after something better than what I got now though so they should be fine providing they work. Cheers anyway.

Setting base idle
Ok I found the screw (thanks AndyDuff) it's a big one facing the battery and a pain to get to because of said battery.

Setting base idle
Ok so I should be able to so this as a bit of research has told me that the connector IS a bugger to get to and its on the IAA unit which also hold this screw I have to adjust. So here I go again......

Setting base idle
Ok I'm pretty sure this IS the conector. Anyone know which screw I have to adjust?

Setting base idle
Andyduff gave me this info: To set base idle - remove yellow connector from back of idle valve (rear pass side of plenum) and turn the screw on the side until the revs are ~700 rpm (think thats right for an NA?), reconnect the yellow connector and sorted Now I'm just wondering if this yellow connector is the thing right at the back and is really hard to get to? Like a plastic thing. Cheers Al

Thinking of a change!!!
The stock spoiler without the park bench would look good too but all of the above would also suit well.

zed silver
I'll let you know how it goes when I try it. might not be for a while though so if you do it first then you can tell me ;) But from 91 on zed silver metallic is given the code 'klo' which is the same as I bought today and is used on other nissans.

These any good?
Ok I do want to buy these now but will they work with my headunit without an external amplifier? Not really sure on the guidelines on this. I just imagined if the headunit was underpowered (mine is 4x45) the speakers wouldn't be made to go as loud as they could. But I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that there's a lot more to it than that. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'd like to 'buy it now' asap. Cheers, Al

zed silver
lol I went and bought some of this today, KLO starburst silver from Halfords. gonna test it out on my headlight panel when it arrives, then if its all good I may tackle a bumper. Wish the weather was better though. Cheers again for the help.

Need a seat!
Thats a weird combination isn't it. Things like this always pop up so it's just a case of a bit of waiting a bit of 'bumping' and eventually a solution will rear its head.

Any Real Noticable Driving difference between a SWB and Slicktop ??

Any Real Noticable Driving difference between a SWB and Slicktop ??
To me it seems weird when someone says "I like the slicktop because it's rare" Kind of like saying I prefer the 'thin' Giant Panda bears because they're rare. I think everyone kinda knows that the slicktop has the rigidity to handle better and swb is lighter therefore quicker than lwb. As CD pointed out though the LWB has the better stability at speed which is why the LWB was used in motorsport. But is it really that important? If you wanted a car for track days the z probably wasn't your best bet anyway. If you can't feel the difference though thats fair enough (no idea if I would I've only driven my lwb targa'd na!). But I originally wanted an mr2 targa but wanted 4 seats. So I ended up buying this one because it's got 4 seats and its got targas. But the main overriding reason that I brought this car whether its slicktop, targa, swb or lwb, is that its a DAMN COOL CAR!!! And hey we've all got one! Aren't we cool!

Don't want to spend more than 60 quid but the cheaper the better.
