  2. Ok so im going to reconnect the sensor to see if it works, will keep the resistor handy. If i remember rightly there are 3 wires on the plug on the engine loom, one is not used. The ecu loom on mine doesnt have the other half of the plug as I cut it off! I just joined the two wires on the ecu loom with the resistor between them. Can you remember which wire goes to which wire, ecu side, engine side?
  3. Thats what i thought :) Which is also why I didnt name him!
  4. I bypassed my det sensor with a resistor about 6 months ago and got rid of the code 34. I have had a new engine fitted since then and have been told that the sensor was working fine on it before it was removed from the other car. I was at Zfest the other week and was told that with the resistor fitted it will get rid of the error but the ecu will still know the difference as the sensor normally gives different resistances, not the constant 1k ohms. He also said that it will still run safty boost and the timing will be retarded. I have a boost controller which overrides the safty boost but I'm worried about the timing being retarded due to this. i asked him to check the timing on the consult to confirm but he said the the consult only reads what the ecu expects, not the actual timing? Now i know that the resistor will bring a normal car out of safty boost as so many people have proved so he is wrong there but anyone know about the timing / maps the ecu will use (JD chipped ecu). I could reconnect the sensor now as I should have a working one but is it worth the bother?
  5. Yep thats it When you get the kit ask him to double check you get the large circlip in the pic as its needed to hold the inner dust boot down and someone said it was missing from a kit they got,

  7. I got mine from 2fast2cool on ebay, was very impressed with the kit and quality Well worth the 25 quid
  8. Yep did the tps the other day, got it at 0.44v at idle (was 0.66v when checked with consult at zfest)
  9. Other than the obvious, is there anything I should do or check before going as this will be the first time I have taken a car on the rollers
  10. I have got the Z booked in on the rolling road at John Noble next week. The new engine seems to be running very well... But every single time I go full throttle the boost maxes out and hits the limiter on the pro spec 2, as soon as this happens the power drops off and clouds of fuel come out the back. I have tried turning the pro spec 2 right down but it still hits the limit (12 psi in low mode), just takes a little longer to get there. Its fine at 3/4 throttle just not full, every time. So... Its going on the rollers to be setup by the pros I'm just hoping its not a leak or rubbish actuator causing it
  11. Time multiplied by money
  12. You still = Time x Money!
  13. I think i got it right, it does actually work!
  14. Women = Time x Money Time = Money Therefore Women = Money Squared Money = the root of Evil Therefore Women = the root of Evil Squared The Square root of Evil squared = Evil (as it cancels out) Therefore WOMEN = EVIL
  15. Women = Evil and thats a proven fact that can be shown mathematically
