Dont think it will help your prob My speedo can be intermittant but the ecu still gets a signal from the speed sensor

JOb done! thanks all My car had a nissan screen with a blue tint, looked factory and took some getting out. New one is much newer, non nissan. The tint is a bit bigger but i like it :)

uprated ebay ones, bigger than stock, ally end tanks etc but not as big as the godspeed ones

Yeah I quite like the funky fp gauges in the engine bay, might invest in one of those too. the car made a healthy 380hp with a good afr so I'm not too conserned, I might consider going even larger on the intercoolers though.

Might be worth me looking into a temp sensor for the intake then as the intercoolers were not cooling as much as they should on the rollers. It could well have been down to thier fan though, i remember now that the problem was getting the fan pointed at both intercoolers as they were so far appart, he had to move it back and center it meaning the air flow into the coolers was not as much as they wanted.

Well it was done in jan 07 so it was about 5c outside. Turbos seem to be kicking out some heat, heating the air passing through them a lot. Its then cooled to about 60c before hitting the intake as thats where it was measured. Bigger ic's did help and got me a 15hp increase and a 10c air temp drop running the same boost as before. They only had a smallish fan and the bay door was closed. Said the intercoolers should do a much better job when being blasted with air while out on the road. So yes, its possible my afr was lowered by a warm intake but I cant really measure it while running on the road to be sure. Do you think I could fit a sensor on one or both of the intake hard pipes to measure the air temp on the road? Shouldnt be too dificult.

intake temps were at 70c, but now down to 60 with the larger intercoolers (readings taken just before the throttle bodies) They said that it was perfectly safe to run but they would like to see the temps down at 50c. Did also say that it would be better on the road as thier fans were not all that effective.

dont forget the brakes too, stock brakes suck! As far as I know my injectors are stock, but my car still runs a little rich at 18psi on the rollers? Its turned down to 16.5 now but the injectors still havnt missed a beat on the 4 or so sessions I have done.

Ta Dave When they come fit the screens do they check the year of the car or is z32 all the info you need to give them? Beermonster, do you know if the first screen they brought was for a z31?

No I'm sourcing my own screen out of a uk car lol The glass fitter just wanted me to check it was the same size as he finds that different years are different in size and tint.

Yeah my current (cracked) windscreen is a yellow tiny and really blotchy and poor when the sun is shining through it. Replacement I have lined up is blue tint which is uk I think so should be better all round.

Anyone had windscreen changed on thier z and found the new one was the wrong size? Glass man just spoken to says that 9 times out of 10 different tints are different sizes slightly and can change from year to year. Now I dont think the z32 body changed at all but could be wrong. Anyone ever had autoglass etc bring them a z32 (not z31 or z33 durr) screen and it be slightly wrong?

I have gotta get my windscren changed. Got the new screen sorted but need to get a quote for it to be fitted. let me know how you get on. Tbh i think these people bump up the price 10 fold for insurance jobs cause they know they will get paid.
