  1. Andy, No6 tested 80psi dry and over 100psi wet other 5 pistons tested around 145 dry,;) Anyone an idea as to what this may cost depending on what option i go with, not to sure at the moment, and any idea who best to do it,bearing in mind i dont realy want to be without Z for weeks and weeks on end:D
  2. A couple weeks ago went to Jeffs, not for any work, just while there did Conzult,no probs except lazy O2 sensor, anyway,to me it sounded a tad noisy, had a small hollow knock ,but then alot of zeds do,but to me it sounded higher and in genral not that smooth, anyway couple days later started car, went for run and at low speed it was uneven, choppy, you could just feel it coming through the whole car,but at over 2000rpm all ok and still performs realy well, but,in the back of me mind i knew it was not all well,so today shot up to Jeffs, conzult, turns out that No6 piston low compression,80psi dry test+100psi wet,all other pistons reading around 145psi,the Conzult when doing the individual piston switching on/off showed up red on No6,so all plugs out they all ok,swapped No6 piston plug with another and put all back,Conzult showed all to be ok(not red on N06)but of course the compression has given it away as to the problem,so the diagnosis/conclusion is a fooked/chipped valve,or fooked piston/chipped/com rings?,so what to do,engine re-build,or just the head(if its valves,)or replace with yet another engine(the third!)or seeing as if i get a second hand engine will i end up in the same position!I am not to gutted to be honest ,as i half expected something like this sooner or later,i knew the history of car verywell before i got it,plenty of drag strip runs,Rockingham speedway and more, but when you look at whats been done to this Zed since it was imported 3 years ago and the amount of serious money spent it was and still is worth everypenny i paid for it,so,what to do,bear in mind i aint loaded at the mo unless i win the lottery, but i aint not gonna fix it!Any suggestions/advice/help/sympathy wellcome:D

About time,12years of crap from Saddam, killing his own people/Kurds/terrorist camps/support/money to help them/biological weapons/as for UN,have become far to soft, memberstates never agreeing to much, they should stick to humanitarien issues, they have had there day, just like the LEAGUE of NATIONS that was set up after WW1,and look were that got us,nearly over run by the Nazis!,they should keep on going and sort out the whole bloody mess in the middle east, and as for the Arab world maybe hateing the US and UK more, dont you believe it,there shitting there selfs now,any of em try anything they now know that the US and other countries will no longer take the crap they dish out, they no longer can hide behind the UN,and now i see the Turks are playing games with the US,what a bloody shower that lot are, remind me of the Italians and there contribition to the second world war! I now see that over 40 countries are now backing the invasion, now there hands are not tied with political shite!
  9. Thanks for the info bagins/topless,certainly not much choice out there, and why are they so expensive?,:(
  10. Tell ya what ,we all chip in a £1,send some one off to buy it,(the aston Copy)then plant in field, set fire to it,kindest thing to do!:D :D ;)
  11. Well done mate,and welcome:)
  12. Due to another slight change of plan i am trying to source a EGT gauge and oil temp gauge, but cant seem to find any place with a EGT gauge, any ideas, cheers, Tony:(
  13. Try not to hit the apex run off lines, they cause the kart to suffer and even wreck you steering+wheels:D
  14. I got mine from http://www.amber-performance.co.uk £530,but there are plenty places in the Japanese mags, just that most had none in at the time;)
  15. Plus ,do not sit right back into seat upright, last time i went someone had terrible burns due to the heat and friction combination of race suite, and its bloody knackering, bet you ache all over,if its timed endurance do 15 mins each, then towards end you not so knackerd,so about three quarters done put the time spent racing up to 20 mins each, you then claw in a better time average, aaah, wish i was going!:( ;)
  16. It looks superb Chris,a real stunner;)
  17. Sorry about pic quality, only a web cam!;)
  18. Well finaly got the HKS EVC5 fitted and other bits, did not expect a huge difference in power but after a few warm up runs opened it up and, "feckin hell" thats all i could say at the time, addrenalin rush was awsome, after calming down just ran steady to allow the contoller to learn, but will probably go for a manual setting later this week,so far my first impressions of this kit is way above my expectations,a very very clever piece of eguipment, just thought i would share my experience!:D :D ;)
  19. So what was used to temp repair pipe, has you obviously drove it home, would be a bit risky going to far i think, take of the pipe,go to Autoworld up town, give him pipe, ask for same as,if not in he will get it for next day,bit safer than leaving dodgy one on,and if you get pipe i will come round ,give you hand;)
  20. I dont think its head gasket!,the slightly brown slightly gungy stuff ,in my opinion is a form of stale water/rust particles that are in bottom of exspantion tank, over a period of years it must build up with some form of shit, especially if someone has previously run it with no antifreeze!get it cleaned out totaly(god knows how you remove the x tank ,looks a bummer to get tank out!,just get em then to replace shagged pipe,,if it was oil in water du to head gasket it would show around underside of engine oil filler cap(brownish sludgy stuff like runny choco ice cream)and it would be in rad on underside rad cap, could be wrong but have gut instinct its not the head gasket(hope i'm right!) PS,you say they have flushed it ,have they actualy cleaned out the x tank aswell!
  21. Sorry to hear about your slight altercation with another vehicle, must be something in the air i think causing all this mayhem, plus maybe more Zs out on the road ,now good weathers about!:(
  22. Well i have the Sport 500s,and after 2 previous zeds with stock turbos with de-cat mongoose system i thought that the spool up etc was very good, but these 500s are wicked in comparison,so much power so quick, when i first got my present zed with these turbos they actually caught me out on a roundabout on way home from picking it up,respect is now certainly given to them, would defo recomend them, and they bolt straight on ,no mods, and easy for 500bhp,the 600s require some modification to fit,:D Tony
  23. Ah, luveeeeeerly,:) :)
  24. Another quality dealer senario again,no doubt bought with full service history/service just done, etc, etc, etc, etc,(this is getting very regular! )
