Great idea Roy,would be good fun and promote inter club harmony, :D ,what about the GTO lot too, they all pulled out when we suggested this event some months back(6 months  )and they still not come back on here to challenge, wonder why :D ,it will be good fun,who gives a shit whos faster than the other,be a good excuse for a meet too :) What about Santa Pod 23rd May,RWYB and ZClub Drag Challenge meet, gives people plenty of time to prepare etc, theres a RWYB on 15th may too.LETS DO IT :D Tony
  5. Nice one Pete, bet its a relief now that the wheel nut is sorted, :)
  6. Great action pics Stu,did you take them, what camera used, top quality mate :)
  7. As far as i know yes it will be ok on a N/A The ALC holds and increases line pressure prior to gear change, snaps it into gear like a manual in some ways, stops the delay and slight slip when changing gear. Its makes no difference if driving normaly,it only starts to work when you realy go hard on accelerator.A great mod in my opinion, have had one on every Z ownend  Tony
  8. Normaly yes,but the next one is Mon 3 May (bank holiday  )you going Pete ! :) Tony
  9. oooooooops, what can i say, will Wendy be at Billing with you,if so i will keep a low profile :D (what model of car does Wendy want then :D )

If you take you pads out and grease up the shims at back of pads with copper slip etc you will find the noise will go (dont do what someone did once and put copperslip on pad face  not me by the way),Tony :)

  18. Ok,have done some reading on this, but best to look at this, http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=at&dir=&config=&refresh=&slide=58&cycle=off&scale=0&design=default&total=194 "A" when ign on should read battery voltage, when ign off should read 1v or less. TPS check as follows, http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=at&dir=&config=&refresh=&slide=53&cycle=off&scale=0&design=default&total=194 Hope this helps Tony :)
  19. He lives round the corner from you Pete, dont know his name though :)
  20. Replacement no,unless you going to go manual route,i just recently paid £999 to have mine sorted,it is an uprated torque converter and box anyway but after 3 years of abuse all i had was 1st and 2nd and slipping, the price included all parts and labour, well impressed, took em 5 days in total, 3 days of that waiting for parts, just a thought is the oil reddish still in colour, another thing, smell it,mine was red and smelt burnt, when they dropped the sump there were bits of this and that in there etc.According to this chart you may have bad linkage or even Torque converter probs,or line pressure fault :( http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=at&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=94&design=default&total=194
  21. Simon, have you done the Auto diagnostics thats in the online manual, sorry to hear of your probs, hope its not a fried box, :( Tony
  22. And Hankang tyres !!!!
  23. You may have the ALC loom connector too tight(the big centre nut)if overtightened it can cause all types of woes,do it up finger tight then half turn with socket, best do both ends(disconect battery first then auto ecu will reset, hope, this helps :) Tony
  24. Have thought about this one but as you say, anyone got one,i have a sump temp sender ,and would now like to sort out the aftermarket pressure gauge but allways putting it of
