  1. mmmmmmmmm, just like the good old days of the British Empire  One thing about the USA,they would never allow tinpot European countries to enforce there way of life/rules/crazy regulations/dictatorship/way of life onto them like we have to suffer, its not the Yanks i worry about its our involvement in the EU,wish we could go back 30years and get shot of this fookin fiasco  Tony

Just to add,now i am not a lover of Mercs, but at Japshow sat there was a CLK V12 with twin something or other(cant remember at mo)new car,no mods, did the 1/4 in 11.5 or near abouts,it pissed it,had a chat with the owner, turned out to be a nice bloke and was well up for it,he had never done it before, and had after 3 runs got the bug for it,was only allowed 3 runs and was getting quicker and quicker!this made me think, why spend £100,000 on making a skyline run low tens, when all you have to do is get one of these Mercs, tune it a tad, suitable tyres, then run low tens too  ,you just had to be there to see it,seemed slow from the line then after 300ft it was realy flying, creamed it,so impressed :) Tony

Obviously to wet then, why let em run when its not dried fully,i know there under pressure to get cars on,but on a normal rwyb they would not of allowed him to run at all :( ,last big event the same happend, was allso a Supra but just missed the wall. Iwent on the saturday, was ok but been to better there, got a Best of Show sticker on entry,at 8.30am,enabled me and 6 others to park at the MacGuiarrs stand next to grandstand, allso was filmed by camera crew(slow drive through at the kiosks  ),did not bother to run Z as i think £13 for three runs takes the piss at these events, weather was ok,just a little rain twice.Did anyone check out the Scissor door Z,the owner let me have a good play with it,was very impressed, very solid, very very light to use, doors open normaly then just pull up,so easy, who ever said its no good on a Z!,he can fit it in 4 hours too! Tony

  24. Just an idea, not to sure what RR you have near High Wycombe, but sounds as if you need some place that knows there stuff, why not take it to G-Force in Aylesbury, not far from you, they will be able to tell you whats up,i remember having a bad rattle on my Z that Pete bought, turned out it was the nearside turbo heat shield had virtualy come off, hope its something simple like that for you.
