Steering
UJ is easy to do,cant remember the cost but heres what ya do, Slacken off 2 steering colum retaining bolts(lower part under dash area),undo the two bolts on UJ,pull colum up a little, then tap up UJ on uper spline till it free from lower one then take off.Take care not to move steering system/twist colum as you need it to line up as same as when you took it off(lower spline and top spline to line up with splined area on UJ)Dont forget to push colum back. so whats going on with
No3 cylinder  If i remove coil conector no engine note change,(have tried other coil packs of Chunk(cheers mate)still same,so,having put in new plugs recently i took no3 out,was very white, but piston top not look dry more dampish, put another plug in,still same,so while engine running check spark from coil ,was ok(Chunk was witness :) ) so me thinks injector, just been to check it(screwdriver to ear etc)and its clicking away,if i take off injector conector it still clicks but lower note(unless i imagining things),car has new loom from ecu and series 2 PTU,any ideas or things to check further! i normaly have plenty patience but its bloody testing me and its soddin freezin out :( Tony

V8 conversion, Nah, try this.......
Nothing new but still impressive, me and my dad met this bloke in 1970 i think when at a big car show in london,i was only 12,remember it like yesterday, huge very long fabricated to hell monster, red paintwork with chopped Rolls Royce grill. Bit of history on it--- In the 1960s John Dodd of Kent, England put a Merlin engine (some say it actually was a Rover built Rolls-Royce Meteor, which was a de-tuned Merlin without superchargers and with steel components replacing some aluminium ones) in a car called "The Beast". Originally it had a grille from a Rolls Royce, but after complaints from them he had to change it. According to his own account he once drove by a Porsche driver on the autobahn who then called Rolls Royce asking about their "new model". The Beast was once listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's most powerful road car. The engine came from a Boulton Paul Balliol training aircraft which would give 1,262 bhp (941 kW) at 8,500 feet (2,600 m). No supercharger was fitted to the engine in car so it "only" delivered about 850 bhp (630 kW). The chassis was custom made with a fibreglass body and used a General Motors TH400 automatic transmission. This guy has one in his Custom, will make one for you too  http://www.rodshop.com.au/project55.htm Tony :)

power balance test
Would tend to agree to this, too many factors to allow the power test to confirm or not the condition of engine, try doing it on a engine with uprated internals etc,red all the way,if you get my drift, plus when repeating the test in succesion will/can give varying results. Tony

Got one
Would love to Mike, but from this weekend will be working sat and sundays for next couple months(no mon to fri working by the way :) ) Thanks Peach, will see you later in the year :) ps,seems that it was imported with Jun pistons/rods in place, that could answer why additional injectors were fitted too, mmmmmmmm! Tony

Are they lying to me?
You did right,its fooked, :D
-
Got one
Actually they seem to spool up quicker than the JWT Sport 500s i once had on a previous Z,but those did not have BB bearings like these do and these are/can take up 600bhp,would i say be on par with the Sport530/600. Tony
