  1. Not if you get a carbon fibre engine oil;) :D Mark
  2. Hi Guys, Have a look on TT.NET FAQ it makes interesting reading! If somebody has an old iridium plug then post it too me and will see if it does come up short into the chamber! Mark
  3. Hello Mate, Just done a bit of research on TT.net FAQ and the HKS plugs are made by densos, this plug gets slagged off on TT.Net as being too short for the TT Head! People on there recommend NGK PFR6B-11B as being the only plug suitable for the Z! A slightly colder than standard plug that can take quite a bit of tuning! $52 for 6 from courtesy nissan! Mark
  4. Problem is Gavo the cars you are testing are ten year old supercars, if they were brand spankers fair enough!
  5. Chris C, Why don't you buy AndyZ's manual gearbox conversion he's got for sale? You got the car running right, now get the right gearbox! You know it Makes sense! ;) Mark
  6. Hi Alex, Funnily enough this is what I am doing at the moment! Disconnect AIV system, if not already done! Blank off EGR plugs Clear out old flashings in water channel going to the rear of the block! Remove core plugs! Goto Courtesy and order the Cambelt Kit, the full gasket kit, Turbo by pass hoses, heater hoses, hoses at front of block, pcvs and hose kit! All belts! You will obviously need new bearings after the big end probs, so you might as well get new rings/pistons after the block has been assessed! I am also trying to get Allen Keys to replace injector screws as a way of removing injectors without removing plenum! Mark
  7. Timbo, Don't know if it is like what I had a pool of water dripping from the front midlle of engine, fixed mine, then fixed bruce wards after a certain mechanic on here did a cambelt change and didn't change these hoses!! There are two hoses going into the block right by the thermostat, change them and the thermostat at the same time! Should all cost no more than £20 and an hours time, if you do it yourself give me a ring and I will talk you through it! Mark
  8. Apologies Tim! I have sent you off on the wrong tangent! I meant to say did the Jap Import models have a seriesII PTU change as well? I blame it on a bottle of Californian Ironstone Red!!!!!!!!11 Mark
  9. Hi, I am sure I heard on TT.net that there was a difference in PTU's between the different models! Did this apply to the UK models or just the USA recall on the Series I PTU's? Mark
  10. Just pure RO water(thats what those in the know call it;) ) and the normal ratio of antifreeze!
  11. Actually Mineral water is not the best thing to give your Z! It has loads of minerals which form deposits around your engine! Go to a tropical fish shop and get some reverse osmosis water 90p for a gallon! Mark retires to bed slowly disrobbing his anorak!!!
  12. Sue his ass! If you are a member of the AA or RAC contact their legal department! Mark
  13. And cheaper to Run!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Its More reliable than any bird I've ever known!! LOL Mark
  15. Cheers Paul, I believe the link you are on about is on TT.net! I think the turbo they talk about is a slightly different turbo! Mark
  16. Hi, I believe Jay pSC has got them, what about anybody else? Mark
  17. Hi, Got four sets of heads from Two engines, in the workshop! I noticed that they have different valves in them! On the larger valves, one set of heads has EG stamped on them and on the other set of heads it has 40 stamped on them! Are these just a change in the OEM valves? Mark
  18. SSSSShh thats top secret!!!!!! Don't let all the 'ronguns on here know all the mods I am doing to my Z!;) Will Call Ya!
  19. Hi Mate, Cheers you're a star, do you want cash or a cheque? Mark
  20. Hello Mate, Yeah got the mail mate and will go ahead with the order! How does Maciek receive the dosh? Mark
  21. Hi, Question for the Z oracles out there? Will a TTengine and gearbox fit a NA propshaft and diff without any mods? I already know a TT prop won't fit a NA Diff! Mark
  22. Hello Mate, Glad I could help somebody searching for a decent motor contact an enthusiast selling one! It was a bit warm and I remember having a forehead the same colour as me turbos at WOT!!!!!!:D :D Mark
  23. Pete and Tony I reckon you both owe me a beer, HIC, for putting you in contact with each other at Z dating direct! LOL Mark
  24. Old Forum Post, do a search
  25. Hello Mate, Like Gio says it is a 10 year old supercar and the best bet is if you want one, get one from somebody on this forum. At least you know there is a fair chance it is looked after! When you buy it change the oil and filter every 3k, anitfreeze every two years, and change the gearbox oil, bleed the brakes. If you want to do something to the car you do a search on this forum or TT.net or the aus forum. That way you get the best piece of kit and usually for the best price! If you want to mod it in anyway or do major work, find out who the best mechanic is in your area by asking on this forum. Get peoples numbers and ring em up ask their opinion! We probably do this because we love the car, but in the end you become bitter! You have dreams of Twin Turboing a convertible Z, your mind becomes a blur of "how to pages", you know Courtesey Nissans Sales people by their first names "Butch" (in case you want to know). Will it be 2530's, GT25's, JWT 650's, then theres the chips, SE, Mines, JWT, Emanage, Unichip? Life is getting better, after a couple of Tamazapan and a bottle of scotch! :D Mark
