  1. Hesitating quite a bit but I think that is due to a wet airfilter.
  2. Would this make a difference in the running of the car if both gaskets were shot?
  3. Any ideas where I can get that rubber strip from?
  4. I have cleaned the throttle bodies, changed the temp sensor and have had a new wiring loom, its having a boost leak test done Monday, as my mechanic thinks their is a big leak down by the passenger turbo. I checked the MAF today, took the nose panel off and my air filter is damp and water is holding on top of the air filter, checked the maf connection and seems clean, their is a splash guard underneath, I was wondering if rain water is getting through between the nose panel and the bumper, is their suppose to be a seal their? Could this be a cause of hesitation? The car is fine when warm, any ideas?
  5. How much do you think it will cost to spray the bonnet, 1x wing, 1x rear quater panel and the rear spoiler?
  6. Right outside my house, must of been early hours in the morning.
  7. Will give my insurance another ring tomorrow and see what they say, I will do more than remove limbs if I ever find out.
  8. My car has had all flipping tyers slashed and nearly every panel scratched, the car was an absolute minter. Having tyers put on later, the cheapest tyer available £304 just to get it moving again, god knows what its going to cost to get the body work right, I wont feel sorry the person after I get hold of them, they going to be in a much worse state than my car. Police have been called, my breakdown wont cover the cost of recovery and I would loose my no claims if i go through my insurance, looks like im going to have to pay out my own pocket.
  9. Does this look like the sort of thing I will need? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Walbro-Fuel-Pump-for-Nissan-300ZX-Nissan-240SX-305-LPH_W0QQitemZ160329766946QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item2554661822&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1683%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
  10. Im hoping my car will be running in the high 400's at the wheels, my standard fuel pump seems good, is it worth changing it or would it be a waste of money? Is their any way of telling if its old, I will have a look through my recipts tonight to see if it has ever had a new one.
  11. Before getting my car mapped and the boost increased, is it a good idea to replace the fuel pump, either a new standard one or an upgraded one, my pump is good but is it worth changing?
  12. My last car was a legnum manual type s, I would definatly reccomend one, very quick and a lot rarer than a scooby, I owned a scooby wagon turbo and they do not compare speed wise, the scoobys handling in awsome and a lot more boneshaking.

  14. Just found out my car has many vac leaks, all leaks are sorted bar 1, the passenger side turbo has a big leak according to my mechanic, he said that if you gradually floor it u will hear the leak, it is quite hard to hear as the exhausts are loud, its going in to be hooked up to a smoke leak detector to pinpoint the leak, I hope its not going to be to much trouble, looks like I will have to keep the boost right down till I get it sorted. Bloody car, does my head in sometimes.
  15. No wonder I got beat, cars just been in for a boost/vac leak test and had about 5 leaks + a massive leak from passengerside turbo, all leaks under the bonnet are now sorted, its just the turbo now, its being hooked up to a smoke leak detector soon to pinpoint the leak, once that is sorted it should feel like a different car.
  16. Absolutely stunning mate, wish mine looked like that.
  17. Are they the same thing or is their two seperate tests? I found one pipe that is hissing, left hand side of engine near balance bar comming off a small black cylinder shaped object and there is a slight hiss from the right hand side of engine near the balance bar but a bit deeper down, the car is booked in next friday and any pipes that need replacing will be replaced, I hope it sorts out my almost stalling issue, I have just replaced the water temp sensor.
  18. Thanks mate but the ones im getting are adjustable, how much are yours new?
  19. Im about to buy a set of tein coilovers for £250 second hand from a member on here, one shock is weaping and would like to get them refurbished, I have been on the phone to Tein and they recomend me to not purchase them as it would be too expensive to refurbish them and it would be cheaper to buy brand new, is their anyone who specialises in refurbishing coilovers? Thanks
  20. How do you take the front covers off to access the speakers witout braking anything, do you have to take the door card off? What is the standard size speakers at the rear? Thanks Leigh
  21. Yeah, I was thinking of doing the same, I already have an amp and 12" jbl sub not fitted, this seems like the easyiest option, no cutting and getting it wrong.
  22. What have you guys done? I still have my originals and they are crap, should I get 4x 6x9's or replace the old ones with the same shape but modern ones?
  23. Congratulations mate, best feeling in the world isnt it.
