  1. After reading the link I have to agree to his break in method. I myself have built and ran in or tested on a dyno hundreds of engines and right from when I was an apprentice I was told "load the ****er up" Obviously you need to get to temp first, but the methods of loading have been very different from towing vans to loading up the dyno by turning up the water pressure. You don't need to go over the top but if its going to go bang then it will go earlyer rather than later.
  2. I have an Isotta gear knob, my car didn't have one on when I got it and I drove around for weeks without one, thats strange I can tell you, so I got this and I love to hold it
  3. I think, but could be wrong, that if its not your fault then you don't have to buy the car off the insurance they just pay you what its worth and you keep it. I don't know about the catagories for repair and all that but you could get it looked at and maybe repaired, or better still I know where there is a nice solid shell that you could build up.
  4. That sucks big time, I think we all know how much you love your car. I hope its not too bent you can't fix it.

  22. Somebody at work had found a magazine in a bin outside the factory and knowing I didn't lock my car (it was an old ford) decided to put it on the parcel shelf, then someone walked up to me and asked what it was, well all I could think of was an old rag I used to wipe the rear screen with, he turned and said "no its not, its a gay mag." Well I ran outside to find out but got beat to it by a mate who waved it all over the factory, if that wasn't enough about an hour later the factory manager walked past and said to me "check your back son." I took a note off my back that said in big letters, I can take the pain if you can take the shit
