What a waste of a good engine

It was good to see so many in one place, sorry I didn't meet many of you as it was all a bit overwhelming being my first meet an all. I scooted off early as I had a good two hour drive home and I'm working tonight so I need some sleep first. Thanks, Scrawni.

I'm sorry that this has upset people the way it has. It was meant to be a way of getting a car back on the road and as Bird is well liked, as are others, I for one thought it a good idea. Can I just go back to the thread that started all this and paste something that I posted there, Why don't we have a bi yearly event to help out people in need, guys like bird. Maybe do a sponsored beer drinking fest or something, or get everyone from the Z world going to jap fest or jae to put an extra couple of quid into a pot and hand it over. That would benifit lots of people that are haveing a bad time of fixing thier cars and see less being stripped for spares. I can see how some would get upset that one guy is getting help and they are not, but if we had a fund for such things then we could all do a poll to see who we thought should get help, be it money or just time. Just a thought but a fiver is one packet of fags, and I'm sure that most of us can spare a packet of fags.

Well I want digital radio anyway, so i will have to fit a different arial to start with. I will smooth it out when I can afford to get the kit I want fitted and a respray.

When i returned from Aus, I wanted a fast family car and being a fan of the Commodore (aka Ausie Omega) I natuarly got an MV6 omega. But while looking for one a Zed cropped up and took my fancy, needless to say it was left alone cos its not family. Then I staerted working with this guy with a poopra and the Zed kept popping into my mind. So sod the family, sold the VX and got the Zed. Awsome.

My arial fell off today at speed, not happy as i'm still waiting for my new head unit and this one won't play cds too well. I was doing well over the limit. Oh well.

Lets see some other installs so we can all get an idea as to what has been done. I'm planning my install as we speak and have a couple of ideas but would love to see some so I can get it right.

Where is the meet starting at the weekend as I think its about time I got myself to a meet. If I can't do it due to distance and other crap excusses who is willing to hold onto a pot of money and how do I send some.

These cars, like so many others are loved for what they are. Any car can go up it, and lets hope no others on this forum go through what bird is right now. I think as a collective we could all offer bird some support, whether it be time, expertise, space for work to be done, or donations. Lets all pull together and give the bloke a hand.

From what you have said it sounds like you might have been turned down for the deal you applied for and were given a different deal. You need to be careful of morgage deals that offer deals such as, money back offers as they tie you in for a period of time meaning that if you change again within that period you have to pay back some or all of the money. Take a walk down you high street and speak to at least two other brokers and tell them the story, if they say they can help then play them off against each other. Remember they only make money if you go through them, so you can get them running in circles to do as much as they can for that signature. Like I said beware of deals and discounts, stear clear of redemption periods and watch for changing interest rates as they can cripple you as and when they suddenly rise.

It happens mate, I had a tidy landy a few years ago, and because it was sat on the drive most of the time we would get all sorts asking if it was for sale. Saying that you might want to move it and make t less obviuos that it sits there, you know the days its not used turn it around or park it in different positions, it just give the impression its in constant use.

I might get mine chromed. I was reading that Ripspeed are doing a dippping process that can put any colour or effect onto almost any surface you want, but at the mo its only in a couple of the larger stores.

Hi all, I had my hicas light come on yesterday and stay on, now it comes on and goes off at will. I'm guessing its just a low level light but I don't know what to top it up with or where to put it. Help please, cheers.
