Yeah you ar eright about that, but then whats the point? After reading the first post and the mention of blueprinting his engine, the point I was trying to make was, if you are going to all that trouble you can get prety much all the low rev power you need without loosing top end bhp. I know what I would do anyway.

I want a new nokia cos I like em, I want the N60 cos of the video feature is that bit better than the other nokias. Just got the wife a Sony erricsson 800i thing, you know the orange coloured walkman phone with 512 card in the bundle. What a piece of kit, 2 meg camera with flash, shed loads of gizmos and the sound quality is faultless, not just for a phone but anything. Can't knock it.

You have been told right, you can't just strap any blower on without lowering the compression somewhat, wel not if you are doing it propperly, so I think what all these guys are saying about getting a TT is the best thing to do, they are bmw eaters after all.

Top man, I think that sometimes if you push then it comes back at you with bells on. Its easy to blow and rant and rave, god knows i've done it more than once, but its not so easy to be fare and give the little sh!ts the chance to do the right thing. All that money for a bit of lower down power, I don't think its worth doing myself. If you are going to blueprint the engine lighten and balance all the moving parts to get it revving more freely and higher. Then get the heads flowed and balanced and play with valve overlap, duration and lift to bring the power band lower, you can change the cams to do all sorts of things to where the power come in. Lastly you can get some turbos that spin up damn fast nowerdays, couple that with a fast revving and high volumetric efficieny (spelling) and a good fuel system and map, and who needs supercharging.
