Tennis !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup, no-one got worked up about team GB in the Olympics. Can imagine the same peeps wiki-ing the athletes to check their nationality before deciding to celebrate. Sad really. Well, I enjoyed it. He's a credit to any nation frankly and more importantly himself.

Rx8 or 206cc
I had an RX8 a few years back....I think it was under 4 years old and had extended Mazda warranty so we had no issues with it. Was the 225 bhp version and it looked great and liked the interior etc, but it's a little uninspiring to drive. Also, drinks petrol and goes through a lot of oil, which isn't a big deal as you just have to remember to top up. Also had those rumours about the engine seizing if the car wasn't warmed up, so if you moved it a few yards and then turned off apparently it could cause issues. IIRC, you had to rev up to x amount and then immediately turn the engine off to stop that happening. Never had a prob myself but always revved it up... Just in case! Not sure if that "myth" was ever expelled but there was certainly a lot about it back then. Petrol costs are my main memory of it, my other half had a petrol card so only paid 40% tax on the benefit and it was still a fair amount.

Woolwich killing
Not really, the IRA is the most obvious other example. Nazis weren't either and they undertook far more attrocities than all terrorist groups combined.

not a happy bunny
I didn't know log book loans existed. Scary as when you HPi check a car you assume it's clear but if you then leave it a day or 2 before collecting then they can go and get a loan after. Did you HPi it on the day or before? If on the day then surely the liability is on the lender as there is nothing a buyer could feasibly do to prevent it....wonder how long it takes for systems to reflect the loans as if there is a delay then this could happen every time.

Surgery looming??
Really feel for you mate. I suffer from the same disease but am very fortunate in that mine is only moderate (never been hospitalised) and even that is extremely unpleasant to live with. Try and keep your head up, from the forums there are people who had to go down your route and say once they adapted it does increase quality of life. Hope this is the case for you and wish you all the best.

not protecting no claims
All companies are different but if you have a crash and you have say, 7 years unprotected you may lose 3 years but you shouldn't lose it all. If you are protected, then they allow you 1-2 claims "free". As I said though, not set in stone and besides, if you have a claim your premium will still go up. You may still get the same discount for your NCB but that discount now comes off a higher premium.

is your licence still valid
Did you not get a renewal notice through? I had to renew mine last month and received a letter....

New Car
I had a EG sky blue VTI a few years ago. I loved it at the time, light, pretty quick and had great handling. Definitely one of the best cars I have owned but just grew out of it....wanted something faster! Can't believe what they have done to Civics now....progress eh :hammer:

Short term insurance
All insurers have to offer a 14 day grace period for cancellations don't they? So you could start a policy and then have the right to cancel within the 14 days...although I'm sure there would be a pro-rated charge and an admin fee. A little sneaky and haven't done it myself, but its an option if you are desperate!!

Another use for the Targa roof

chelsea robbed?
Yeah Drogba doesn't help. The guy did have a hold of his shirt, so why did he dive forward? Makes it hard for refs to give him anything. And anyway, what about poor old Barca? They lost a player for the final when it was definitely not a red card. And both the handballs were AFTER they went a man down...before that Chelsea were struggling to get out of their half.

BT Broadband driving me crazy
i moved home and had pretty similar problems with my BT hub. I found the network, then would keep dropping and losing the network...after refreshing a few times would find it again, would all be ok for a while and then the same thing. Finally rang them to complain and he talked me through changing to a different frequency (or something!) and have had zero problems since. Seriously, just give them a buzz....

ive been offered a swop
Has he offered you a straight swap? If so then it sounds a little dodge...if it would get snapped up for £6k then he might as well sell it, then just buy yours for less and walk away with a little cash.....

fibreglass spoiler
Need to have the above stripped down ready for respraying as the paint is pretty shabby. As I'm in no rush thought would have a go myself. Whats the best/easiest way to do it?

when will bikers learn
I saw some little chavs on bicycles today taking up the whole road and looking round laughing at the people in the car behind who were being forced to do 10 mph. 3 years on they will be on scooters, 3 years 1 month on will prob be scattered all over the road. Scares me that those morons will be driving any kind of motorised vehicle at some stage.....

Please help me name my two new kittens
My mates got 2 snakes, one called Stella (girl) and one called Artois (boy). I named my first kitten Fuzzy Wuzzy. I was only 6 but still cringe at the thought....why didn't my parents stop me??? Poor bugger.

scrubs question
Actually, IIRC on JDs first day he walks in to the hospital as the janitor is trying to fix one of the sliding doors that is stuck. JD suggets someone may have jammed it with a penny and the janitor gets all paranoid asking him why he would think that implying that JD jammed it himself. JD just shrugs it off but later in the episode he walks past the janitor who is holding a coin that was obviously jamming the door and he assumes it was JD. And now he bullies him ever since. Hope that helps!

rear wheel damage
I wish that was all that was wrong with it! the front passenger corner took the brunt. The engine and manual gearbox survived so breaking will probably be the way forward. Though I don't have the ability for that which means having to pay someone to do it. A pain either way but as she says, she is ok and thats all that matters!

rear wheel damage
My girlfriend has crashed my car. Unfortunately it appears it is a write off and as she was only 3rd party so i am trying to ascertain what is salvageable :( The rear wheel hit the curb with enough force to crack off a piece of the edge of the alloy and actually bend the wheel inwards at the bottom. How would the suspension, hicas arms etc have likely fared? I just had brand new KYB AGX fitted so would be good if they were still intact. Thanks One more zed down.....

Fooking Brits
Whilst at work my brother and a colleague were asking people if they knew who Fidel Castro was. A few people had no idea and one person actually said "I think I just met him outside" Its funny but also pretty grim.

Insurance query - TT classification
I'm gonna have to call them I guess. The only option was import turbo. Not worth risking without clarification really. Cheers for all the help guys, hadn't thought about the z31.
