  1. What if the picture of the camel was in fact of a cow? Sorry, shouldn't joke. It is a crappy situation and I for one will be very careful that I triple check anything I buy from overseas going forward.
  2. Yeah, plus the fact that the picture is of the actual product sent (I believe) then it does start to get a little greyer round the edges.
  3. I don't think you're being unreasonable and would probably be as gutted as you. However, can also maybe see some of the other side as well....though at 1st I was definitely on your side. After reading Joses responses, think we have to take in to account that we are dealing with a car that has different US, JDM and UK specs. Jose might be a US spec expert but as he said, they don't sell certain oem parts there for our models so obviously his knowledge on other specs might not be as great. As you said, Gary has owned a 300zx for some time so would have picked it up straight away, but would he be an expert on everything US spec? Possibly not. I'm assuming the description on the sure has changed so can't look at the original, but was obviously slightly misleading. However, I probably would have triple checked by posting a link on the forum knowing I was ordering overseas which could get awkward if there were issues, and also with all of the different specs/variant complexities. However, hindsight is a wonderful thing though so in the heat of the moment might have just gone and ordered!
  4. About 8 years ago, I was on holiday with my mates and asked my girlfriend (now wife ) to pick us up from the airport. As she drove a Z3 she had to use my 300 and I said to her, if there is ANY rain, take it very easy. She got about 2 miles from home before writing it off on a dual carriageway coming from a roundabout
  5. Come on, at least have them in date or colour coded order!
  6. Love the colour....hell, the whole project is superb. Frankly I'd be scared of driving it anywhere!!
  7. I think the moral you're missing is some people bought/buy this car because they love and appreciate it and want it to get the recognition it justifiably deserves...Why is it worth less than a supra etc when they should be comparable? You bought it for cheap fun so of course you don't care what it's worth. Unfortunately, it will never become as desirable as it should be whilst people just keep seeing it as cheap fun. Shame really, but hopefully one day people will see the light!
  8. Found it, not Jay something, just Jay. Still love it even though wide arch not always my cup of tea.... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?152868-***SOLD***-300ZX-SWB-Wide-Arch-New-Pics-***SOLD***
  9. Can't remember his user name but was Jay something and he had a black SWB. I loved that car, when he went to sell it was so tempted to buy and the wife was trying to persuade me. Head ruled my heart unfortunately....gonna try and dig out a pic.
  10. Has to be said that it sounds like Gary has been all over this since he got involved and is going above and beyond. Well done sir and hope it helps silverline get a resolution that means he can stay put!
  11. All the salt from riding motorbikes in winter has corroded his mind :tongue_smilie::tongue_smilie::tt2:
  12. I suspect he already knew  I try not get wound up driving now, too stressful by half! Even if someone cuts me up, they know they've done it and obviously couldn't care less so me horning them isn't going to stop them being utter cretins.
  13. What were you hoping to achieve by blasting the horn at him?
  14. Domino-style nose panel is....different. Pulls my eyes away from the bumper so will mark it in the plus column for now. Looks in good condition overall so with a few body kit adjustments could be nice.
  15. Unfortunately, the millions of people in this country who watch/enjoy football far outweighs the amount of people who can probably find Korea/Ukraine etc on a map!
  16. Bloody hell you're having it rough (understatement!). I had a full colectomy with loop ileostomy back in October and had a blockage 2 weeks later....foolishness/over confidence that I have been extremely careful not to repeat! Agony that is hard to describe so hopefully they can sort it out for you.
  17.:laugh::biggrin: Woke the wife up laughing at this...
  18. I've never heard of that but I like! Good luck with getting what you want...
  19. I know it's not an excuse and it obviously doesn't help now but he will grow out of it. Kids can be pretty selfish and don't necessarily understand the consequences of their actions. You've done nothing wrong so there's only so much time he can act up and all you can do is carry on sending the odd message, if you give up you'll just drift apart. I think I'm starting the same process as you (without your complications!!) and had my 1st surgery (ileostomy) 3 weeks ago. I know how crap I felt after 5 days in hospital so can't begin to imagine how drained you must be! I'm still housebound but pretty mobile and have started to work from home or else I wild be going stir crazy. Sounds like you're trying to do too much too early, just try to relax, watch all 8 seasons of 24 and build yourself up. Good luck mate
  20. Thinking about it, I kind of agree with this. It should be the builders responsibility but your neighbour should be telling them to sort it and I would have at least wanted them to acknowledge it without having to approach them.
  21. 2nd time this week I've had that reference :biggrin:

Well I've been a member here for some time now. Don't post much but have seen all the "friction". What Rose put in the thread that was closed was a nothing comment and the reaction was disproportionate. If it had happened to me I would have been pissed. Frankly, to a third party it looks like people were looking for a reason to have a go in this instance.
  23. Hi mate, sounds like you've had a tough time of it to put it mildly!! About to start down the surgery road myself having the initial consultation just a few weeks back. Not the most pleasant of illnesses for sure and at 1st I avoided talking about it but have found having a chat/whinge can be necessary!! Hope it starts to get easier now and wish you all the best in your recovery.
  24. Yup, or their supper was getting cold!!
  25. Under the pressure, I'd have mounted the curb, fked up alloys and bumper and then been pi55ed off. Probably call up the hospital b1tching cos the ambulance was beeping their horn which led me to believe it was life or death. All the time wishing I hadn't been such a pansy in the 1st place. Would cost me hours of stewing and whinging.
