  1. Are they car specific? If so, what other cars will controllers for a 300zx work on? Thanks in advance for any help

I went to a wing chun lesson once to see what I thought and whilst speaking to the instructor after he demonstrated a 1 inch-esque move and pushed me back a couple of feet. Not in the same league as Bruce obviously but was pretty impressed experiencing it in the flesh. And no, I'm not a lightweight 5 year old girl
  3. Little advice needed guys. how do you measure the offset? Where do you measure to calculate the wheel width? Stumped on this and the alloys deffo don't have the sizes stamped on them anywhere. Cheers
  4. I'm well impressed. I would have just pulled over and sulked until someone towed me away. Love the dials. Never seen plasma....
  5. I've hit it. Guess a few people have been there. My car at the mo is standard except for a HKS exhaust and induction kit but I have a profec e-01 boost controller, 17"alloys, 99 spec rear lights, KYB AGX shocks all ready to fit. Prob now is that I have to uprate the brakes, get new springs, sort out a prob with my rear tyres balding rapidly and get this all fitted and set up but money is now tight. Can get it but now Ive thought about it, I could sell all those parts and save on the money for all the fitting and extra parts and walk away with a wad of cash and what still is a lovely car!! I know I'm going to go ahead with it really, but there is that little doubt in my mind now, that once its all on theres no going back!! Anyone ever bottled it???
  6. No sign of any size refernce at all. Guess I'm gonna have to do it the manual way!! What are the measuring points for the offset and rim size?
  7. Where can you find the offset and rim size on a alloy wheel. Can't see it anywheres......? If I wanted to measure these, where do I measure from?
  8. Sounds like you had lots of it. Don't worry, I don't intend to lift a finger. Ive attempted to do work on cars before and its always the little things that can go wrong and im waaay too imaptient. I don't have the tools for it and end up losing my rag halfway through leaving my car on axle stands and myself vehicle-less for a while. Hence why id rather get everything done in 1 go to rather than have to shell out for a mechanic to do half the work to replace something he could do at the same time as this. Thanks
  9. No rear seats for my little swb.....nowt to carry either so its a thought! Cheers
  10. Thats gotta be worth a free grounding kit!! Or 5.714285714 ;)
  11. Fitting new shocks and springs very shortly and just wondered if there was anything else worth doing at the same time. Nothing too expensive but anything that may as well be done whilst its coming apart Cheers
  12. Ah why not, I've sent it, hope its a help.......?
  13. Watford Z'er myself and would be well up for this.
  14. Thanks Steve, V helpful!!! I trust it was from memory though, Id be disappointed to hear otherwise!!
  15. Anyone know this off the top of their head??!! Cheers Henry
  16. Would GTO wheels with the right offset etc be able to fit straight on to a Z? Cheers
  17. Cheers fellas. Doesn't sound really damning but I'll get that sorted. ta again....
  18. Ive got a TT auto with the following prob..... Whilst trying to start my car there was a harsh grinding noise (like if you turn the key when the engine is already running) and it wouldn't start. I then put it into drive and started it and it was fine.....and still is even when starting now from park. Any ideas? Its happened once before..... Thanks Henry
  19. Mechanic sounds like hes taking a hard line but if he passed up other work for this job then he would have lost out on a whole days pay....someones gotta be held accountable and I hope it doesn't end up with Bird cos he needs to catch a break!! Good luck bud
  20. Feared as much. Cheers mate
  21. Whats the maximum offset you can have? is 46 rear and 42 front unfeasible?
  22. Cheers for this guys, was going to upgrade to larger wheels from standard and get the wheel alignment done at the same time but just in case there is something a little more serious (and pricey) ill just ditch the new wheels and get this done asap. Thanks again
  23. Done some searching and just wanna confirm.... Import wheels are 7.5j all around and uk is 8.5 rear and 7.5 front? Cheers Henry
  24. Got the car in January this year and the 2 rear tyres were healthy. 1 month and 700 odd miles later (no serious driving abuse at all) later and the rear right tyre was slick-like yet the left was still great. Initially suspected one of the hicas arms may have been out so the hicas unit was diconnected. Now another month or so later the rear left tyre is just as bad but the right is ok  It just seems very odd cos the excessive wearing has swapped sides. If the right went again it could be pinned down to suspension or alignment probs, but thats stayed fine this month?? Also if anyone has any unwanted tyres in a 245 45 16 I would happily buy them off you. Don't want new ones till its sorted.
  25. I got pulled over by a car with 2 officers on the M6 toll in and they claimed they followed me for 2 miles and that I was doing 100 mph. They didn't have any photo evidence and just tried to bluster me into taking 3 points. They ddn't follow me for 2 miles and I wasn't doing a 100 and their statement makes me look really bad, completely misquoting me. What can i do though? they have no evidence but their statements back each other up, but they are lying. Now best i can do i have the 3 points. Nothing against police in general, but ive got 2 copper mates and they didn't do it to "fight justice" or "help people", they did it cos they weren't qualified for anything else and its pretty good money. Now theyre more reliable and trustworthy than me. *****x. Bl00dy hell, got well in the zone there!!! Need to have a lie down now.
