  1. Collected the car from PowerZed yesterday. Jim has spent many hours putting all the parts in the first two photos below onto the car and removing as much of the superfluous guff as possible. The car passed its MOT with flying colours and with the emissions well with limits. Jim emailed me after he took her for the MOT and to quote him "it behaved very well during the journey. It is very quick on boost even at wastegate pressure. You will be impressed I am sure" I'm a very happy bunny! The trip back home was very wet so drove with due caution. I will take her out when conditions improve and I have plumbed the Racelogic traction control back into the new engine harness. I'm very grateful to Jim for all he has done in getting the car to this stage of development in my ownership - a very big thank you! Engine out and all the emissions guff, manifolds and old turbos coming off. Compression tests well within specs for a 90K miles engine. Front of the car stripped down, old HKS SMICs, Recircs and pipe work removed. New CHRA's with billet compressors installed into JWT 530BB turbos. MSP exhaust manifolds installed with new engine mounts and modified brackets to clear AshSpec pipework. JWT 530BB turbos mounted. Work in progress - engine back in. RobZ 62mm TB's installed onto modified plenum. AshSpec 2.5" pipework going on and a lot of other new parts. All back in and bolted up with the very clean and discreet OEM+ look I was after with the modifications. Which continues with the new MAFs, GFB Recirculating BOVs and AshSpec 2.5" pipework under the nose panel. Again a very clean look. Finally the man who made it all happen...
  2. In summer 2024 I sold my black TT import that I had put a lot of time and money in to but never really clicked with it. I was expecting to go off and find another car and have fun working on. But I couldnโ€™t shake the 300ZX bug. I donโ€™t think thereโ€™s another car out there with as much bang for the buck and you just donโ€™t see them around anymore. So I started looking for a new one. I knew my budget wouldnโ€™t stretch that far so was looking for a project of sorts, but not one that was too far gone. A lot of the cars I was looking at were too expensive or too far gone. While putting the feelers out, I got a message from John who had a white, UK Twin Turbo sat in his garage that had been off the road for a while. One evening a few weeks back I went down to view it, it was about 2 hours from where I live and if Iโ€™m honest I thought it could be an option but had another one lined up to view a few days later as I was concerned about how rough it would be. So, turned on the sellers driveway and it was sat in the garage and looked way better than I expected! Itโ€™s not perfect but is a really honest, genuine car. Only 4 owners, has been owned by the current one since 2011 and has barely covered 15k miles since 2004. Started up on the money, ran smoother than my old one and I was sold! It has no MOT, needs some TLC and maintenance but Iโ€™m very excited to own another one and bring this one back to life! It arrives tomorrow on a truck, Iโ€™ll post more photos, give some more info about it and go over my plans for the car. Iโ€™ll use this as a blog to show progress. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
  3. Great day out at Beaulieu! Cars got a lot of attention, thanks for arranging this Richard.
  4. I, very fortunately, live about a kilometre from Torqen who are the JK stockist for Z1. Got myself some replacement pipes. Marinaded the caliper for about a week in penetrant and have been able to replace the pipe quite easily. Brakes all sorted now, just need to bleed them. Never done that before so good to learn a new trick! Tyre going on Monday. Then itโ€™s the big one, MOT this Friday!!

This year, we have two cars on display - mine and Jason's (PastorJay). We're going back to basics again, just the cars and some banners - but at least we made it; and we'll definitely make the most of the show. The organisers are also very pleased with us, as we managed to sell 49 tickets using our club discount code, our best year yet by miles! So thanks to everyone who bought a ticket, we're in hall 3, stand 3-050, between the MR2 owners club and the Classic Zed Register. We look forward to seeing you over the weekend.... But for now, some taster pics๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here's my Z
  7. Cant believe its been so long since i dont an update here. What i can say is my zed done more miles today that it has even done in the last 7 years. Pushed it it long term home, loaded onto a tilting flatbed and moved to my own garage in Irvine. Plan now to collect the engine next week and work on getting it fitted soon as my holiday break is over.

Last year went by very quick, my zed was also due this month, it's first MOT in my ownership. Thankfully passed, slight oil leak as well (I have been keeping an eye on). Unfortunately some corrosion underneath too which will need sorting. Hoping to make the trip down to Powerzed in the near future to get the car checked properly and prepped for a good year of driving and enjoying the beast.

Just received my 2026 Z-Club calendar - and it would appear that I am Mr February this year. Well my Zed is......๐Ÿ˜ Which is quite appropriate, seeing as my birthday is in February, LOL!!
  10. Trying to bring a once, race / track 300zx back to life. Not doing as much work now as the garage is bloody cold. But I have recently fitted new Tein EDFC active dampers , slotted brakes discs and yellow stuff pads. Now repairing brake lines that run inside the car. Next just is to repair and spray a bumper, also fit intercoolers. I have a ZF 8HP gearbox I am planning to use as a sequential box (not for the purists I know, but i would never buy a car i can't modifiy, it's in my DNA) Rebuild ing a small block chevy, although I do have a single turbo heavily modified 300zx engine that could go in. I also need to get a prop made. All this will keep me busy. Unique features of the car: One piece carbon fibre detachable roof, carbon fibre tailgate for 2+2, carbon fibre bonnetand light panel, polycarbonate windows, FIA roll cage, internal fuse and breaker box to run all car electrics from just need to make a loom. Race battery, brake bias controls. Slightly wider wheel track due to suspension upgrades. Bumper sprayed and provisionally fitted, chin spoiler and fog light ducs to be added. Most electrics have done.
  11. The show is over for another year, so on behalf of the club I would like to thank the following members..... Jason (Pastor Jay) and Jen - for bringing their Zed along to display and staying for the duration to man the stand Lee (JaiKai) - for coming all the way down from Scotland on Friday to help man the stand on Friday & Saturday Craig - for coming along on Saturday to help man the stand IanL - for coming along to man the stand on Saturday and Sunday Tony (Bones28) for coming along to help man the stand on Sunday Thank you very much folks, without you we would not have been able to do it - as always, your help is very much appreciated! Here's to next year......๐Ÿ‘
  12. Well Iโ€™m happy to say Iโ€™m about to start the rebuild process of my engine! im hoping to drop my block and internals off to my chosen machine shop in the next week or two (work permitting). Im scrapping the EPR block and starting again with a donor block I bought from Banzai Breakers months ago. Fortunately, as my billet main caps measured tighter than they should, there is sufficient material to be able to correct the oval and non-concentric issues with them to make them reusable. So, the plan as it currently stands is to machine my donor block to 88mm for my CP pistons, remachine the billet mains, resurface the block faces, balance the replacement crank and rotating assembly. Then I can start the assembly process while I have my heavily worked heads resurfaced to a proper finish. I will be assembling the engine myself. They one positive that has come from this while EPR saga is the knowledge I have gained about machining and engine assembly, meaning Iโ€™m very confident I can build a solid engine. I wonโ€™t be reusing my GT525โ€™s are they suffered too much damage from the bearing failure, so this time Iโ€™ll be using a set of Pulsar Gen 2 GTX2860โ€™s. It became apparent during tuning that the GT525โ€™s fell off a cliff at 6200rpm and meant I lost out on the performance my head and cam package should deliver. The 2860โ€™s will easily flow what I need and very little sacrifice of spool, so it should be a more complete package that makes over 600hp with less effort. In shortโ€ฆ.. positive updates coming soonโ€ฆ with pics
  13. Hey everyone, Finally decided to make an account here and introduce myself, I'm Mohsan. I officially became a proud Zed owner in February. A 1992 twin turbo manual 2+2. It's a UK spec in grey, currently on 70k miles. The car had a couple of owners from new, made it to 69k miles with full dealer history until around 2015 someone bought it and stored in one of those carcoons for 10 years undriven. It's very much been preserved in whatever condition it was in 10 years ago, mostly very tidy, especially the interior. Exterior, while mostly in good condition, there's a bit of tlc needed. A small rust bubble on the rear quarter to address, the sills have been at some point repaired and not blended very well to the paint and stone guard finish, and it looks like the front drivers side wing has been resprayed rather poorly and is flaking. Will look to sort these before winter. The original taillights had some cracking but a fresh set of 99 spec taillights have solved that. Mechanically, it's a lovely drive. Pulls really well in all gears and sounds nice even with the stock exhaust. The seller had it serviced and replaced quite a bit (shocks, brakes, master cylinder) to get it roadworthy and pass an MOT after being parked for so long. Since buying I've also had the timing belt replaced and changed spark plugs. If there's anything else I should look to get checked or sorted for a zx parked that long I'm all ears. At some point I'll be looking to get an exhaust, ideally keeping the quad tip look. And then wheels, I'm torn between running the stock wheels or going aftermarket. The stock wheels actually look good in my eyes but tyres for this size are limited and can get pretty expensive. Have been wanting to get my hands on an old school jap car for ages, almost gave up with some of these crazy prices. Now I finally have one, looking forward to learning more and enjoying this piece of automotive history. Any thoughts/suggestions the zx community has I'd be happy to hear. Best, Mohsan
  14. Hi, New member to the forum, but I'd confess I've lurked off and on for quite awhile. Currently calling Maryland, USA home but being an Army veteran and having traveled around so much, that could change in the future. Long time owner 26 years and member of various Z forums (Twinturbo.net, 300zxclub.com, etc), clubs, etc. Former Nissan technician for multiple years, performance race shops and the like around the area. I've owned my fair share of Z32 300ZXs ('94 2+2 (1st - Sold), '94 2+0 TT (2nd - Sold), '93 Slicktop (Current), '91 Slicktop (Current- Track car WiP), '90 2+0 (Restoration Project -Sold), '90 2+0 (Current Parts Car), and also a '92 Skyline GT-R), and have specialized on them for over 20 years. It was my first love of the car world and still stirs my soul, so I make it my mission to help all the local Z-car friends, maintenance, restore, and enjoy their vehicles out of my garage/shop - and being involved with local race tracks to show what the Z32 platform can really do. I hope you all are well and I look forward to getting to know some of you, seeing your cars and projects and hearing or offering advice and observations, comments, etc. I'll toss a couple pictures of my latest '93 finished restoration and current TT swap WiP, and try to get a couple others up later of some of the other vehicles. Cheers , Jeremy
  15. Sheโ€™s home! So nice diving her again, although I forgot how extremely low I had her, had to avoid any speed bumps. MOT in the morning and away we go! Dyno and tuning will be booked soon.
  16. Well sheโ€™s ready to come homeโ€ฆ everything wired up and installed. Last check of fluids and should be leaving the lock up. Itโ€™s been a long journey but now itโ€™s time to enjoy the Z again!
  17. Fresh update. Engine is installed, Haltech mapped and configured. With some help from Nick it is running and sounds sweet! Just need to install new glass and should be on the road again.
  18. Hi guys I thought id jump in and say hi ๐Ÿ‘‹ Im currently thinking of re entering the zx world! I had one 20 years ago and still think they have a timeless look to them... ultimately i love 90s/2000s Jap cars and have been in and around the Honda scene for a long time now, starting with Dc2s and then onto S2000z (which im currently still enjoying thuroughly). I am super tempted to get a Manual TT the only thing in my head is that I havent actually sat in one in over 2 decades and whether my past memory of the drive would live up to reality?? ๐Ÿคท Anyway glad to get back onto a forum...im super sick of Facebook groups tbh ๐Ÿ™ƒ Located im Bucks South East.
  19. Happy to say work on my engine block is now finished! Billet main caps were found to be up to 4 thou out of round. This time they have been machined using the ARPโ€™s that will be used during assembly (unlike last time by EPR!) Cylinders were rebored to suit my 88mm CP pistons and cross hatching angle, depth and surface finish all set up for the Total Seal gapless piston ring pack I have chosen to use. I think Iโ€™ll be the first person on the UK to use Total Sealโ€™s gapless piston rings on a VG30, so Iโ€™m looking forward to seeing if the live up to the hype
  20. Happy to say my billet mains were salvageable and have been remachined to the correct size, and believe it or not, round! Dropped off my torque plate on Friday so the cylinders can be rebored and honed and block deck can be resurfaced. Happy that things are now actually progressing
  21. I think this Beauty has slept long enough.

As promised, will try to document the journey of Z ownership interrupted...my TT Auto being sold in 2008. Here it is in all it's pre resto glory. It is a 1995 TT 2+2 Auto with circa 69k on the clock. There is "some" history but nothing comprehensive. Mechanically, it appears sound - started on the button from cold and warmed up nicely with no noticeable smoking from the exhaust. It appears to have had a new exhaust and 18" wheels - which will both, more than likely, be returned to stock (parts availbility permitting). There are a few mroe Z Centre bits of bling that will need to go as well - kick plates and chrome cials for example. First order of business is a full 120k service and check over at Power Zed with any alarming issues being addressed ASAP. It is then my intention to follow an OEM+ style resto (no Fast and Furious fan here - Think more of a Kill Bill style Fairlady Z). I will probably re-trim where approriate (door cards are a good place to start) and ultimately look at a re-spray - silver was not my first choice, but I can see its charm... Early days but am carrying a lot of hope and enthusiasm which will no doubt evaporate at some point!
  23. My grandson Leo enjoying the Z as much as Grandad does !
  24. After attending Beaulieu the previous weekend, we decided a little return trip to The New Forest was in order to see a couple of places we missed. In the Zed of course..... First stop was Hythe for breakfast, then a visit to Calshot Castle, finally dropping in at Burley before heading home. Well worth burning a tank of fuel for....๐Ÿ˜

This a dire warning for any budding newbies not to buy the above white UK automatic being offered on various auction sites. The last owner took action against 1st Choice cars of Faringdon after an inspection by me & ACE .The car is a breaker it is so tatty & poorly maintained. It has serious mechanical issues & should never have been sold. The car was finally returned after a 6 month legal battle. My guy paid 11,995 for it when it was worth 2k at best. The car has low compression on cylinder 6,No AC,Split steering rack gaitors, badly corroded brake pipes,A hole in the floor that is structural,A dangerously worn Hicas joint,The fuel tank is sweating petrol around the straps. The engine loom is a fire hazard with exposed wires & poorly crimped on plugs.Avoid it like the plague please.
  27. And finally back to our stand - from where we came in, to me being the last man standing..... ....We were still exploring the rest of the show until about 3pm - so both John and Mark had left by the time we got back!! Sorry we missed you but thanks again for coming along; great to catch up and hope to see you again soon!!
  28. Grafting underneath at the back end making everything look pretty!
  29. Afternoon all After 12 years off the road (tax disc ran out on 31/07/2013!) I took my zed to our local MOT tester this morning. Pleased to report that she passed with no advisories! I was present for the test and had a chance to inspect the car when she was on the ramps. All looks tidy and is a testament to my weather tight garage! Renewed the tax and took her off SORN as soon as I got home. Next job is a proper service and possibly a 120K service and more thorough health check. Big thanks to AndrewG for running a Conzult check for me (I couldn't find my cable anywhere!) Hope to see you all at a meet soon! CheerZ Steve
  30. After far too long since I removed the rear subframe, Iโ€™ve finally got around to โ€œstartingโ€ the refresh! So far so good other than one of the driveshafts refusing to separate from the hub, but Iโ€™ll bring some more manly tools home from work tomorrow to solve that! Looking forward to getting it all back on the car and start enjoying it again. โ˜€๏ธ
  31. Quick trip down the A20 to Ashford
  32. Not today - but a couple of days ago - we took the Zed on a little drive in The Chilterns, stopping off at Waterperry.... Any excuse to share a couple of Zed pics in the sunshine
  33. Hello everybody, my name is Nicolas, 43, from France. I'm the second owner of a red 90 TT manuel t-top 300Zx, bought 3 months ago in France. I already loved the car when i was 15, but when it's yours that's on another level. As my little one says : "it's class" "it's red" "it goes super fast", a fair lady with a demon inside!
  34. Well after many years of collecting parts the the next stage of the car's development with the "bolt-on" engine parts is nearly there. The Z is going down to Jim@PowerZed this summer. I thought it would be fun to photo all the parts going down with the car - quite a collection! and a 98 spec manual gearbox:
  35. A few weeks ago I took a short trip with my club over to Europe for a double header -an evening session at The Ring followed by a full open pitlane trackday at Spa. It was quite an eventful few days but an absolute blast from start to finish! We caught the shuttle early doors on a Weds and drove straight to the Ring with a brief lunch stop somewhere in Belgium. The tourist session at The Ring was only from 5.30pm-6.15pm as the track was closed for testing all day. Fortunately the weather was dry and because of the late / short nature of the session, it was very quiet. This played to my advantage as Iโ€™ll describe later on! Driving as the sun was setting was immense as you get to experience a totally different side to the Ring. The views are spectacular and it feels very special. Fortunately the Ring-side photographers were still there so I managed to get some awesome photos of the car going around. With a lap taking somewhere between 11-12mins followed by a brief stop in the DEvil's Diner carpark to let both myself and the car cool down, it was s squeeze but I managed a total of 3 laps within the 45min session. As the saying goes, "quit while you're ahead" and I really should have. The first two laps were very comfortable but I pushed to get in a 3rd with one of the other guys in his Ferrari 360. Usually the two to push each other the most, we went out together and I even carried a passenger with me. Ironically joking about the need for a helmet (it's not mandatory on the Ring...we chose not to) and pushing the car and myself harder than I ever have on any of my 25+ previous laps of the Ring, the inevitable happened.... WhatsApp Video 2025-04-19 at 10.12.58.mp4 Going into the corner which I've never had a problem with before, I realised I was carrying too much speed and lifted off slightly. A BIG mistake which caused liftoff oversteer at around 90-95mph. It didn't feel like there was a lot I could do once it started going as the rear end was light as a feather but I did automatically start trying to counter with the steering and intermittent braking. Not sure if any of that was the right thing to do but as you can see, I managed to complete a full 720 spin with the car back on the tarmac, facing the right way and able to simply keep driving. Someone was definitely looking down/over me that day!! Having gone over 2 kerbs and 2 sets of grass, the only damage to the car was my brand new front splitter getting ripped clean off - if you look closely you see it waving goodbye to me as it flies off into the distance ๐Ÿ˜ญ The car had a vibration as I finished the lap but this cleared once I hosed the car down later that evening so most likely just debris caught up in the wheels and brakes. One of the guys shared the below video with me a few days ago which is of an AMG GTR doing the exact same thing in the exact same spot but with quite a different result. It's not lost on me just how lucky I was and certainly a lesson in humility learned. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DIXoagYphMo/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== The following day the group spent the day touring the back roads around the Ring and the Black Forest. Unsurprisingly I stayed at the back of the group and often got left behind! There was no way I was going to be pushing the car so soon after what happened! We headed to Spa that evening and stayed at Hotel Le Source, with direct bedroom views of the track..all very exciting! The following day we headed to the pits where we had 2 garages reserved for our group and a dedicated instructor. I was feeling very nervous but the sun was out, the track was wide and I promised myself I would take it slow and build up through the day. It ended up being one of the most perfect days of driving I've ever experienced! This was the first F1 track I've driven and the difference in quality is insane! The tarmac was like silk, the marshalling was perfect, track time was maximised, the pit lanes where the F1 cars hangout felt like being on a movie set... Although a bucket list day, I would 100% go back again for a trackday at Spa. It's easily driveable for a day (+1 overnight) away. For anyone considering it, my advice would be to just do it. You won't regret it! I've been back home for a few weeks now and after washing and cleaning the car, I've not taken it out. There are a few jobs I need to get going on with it: source and fit a new front lip โ˜น๏ธ remove and refit my new PowerTrix side skirts as they were fitted as a bit of a rush job before the trip and not done quite correctly get the engine checked out as there was a little blue smoke at times under load from the left bank..possibly turbo seal on the way out? using a dial test indicator on my hubs to check for runout. The discs are true as are the wheels but I still have the vibration. I want to check the hubs and change the tyres (was waiting til after this trip to get new rubber) and failing that, I think it might be time to start renewing the suspension components Before the trip, I fitted a front lip sourced from Luke at ZCentre and I replaced my factory 99spec side skirts with some new PowerTrix side skirts. I never really liked the 99specs as they looked a little dated and 'fruity'. Hard to explain but I much prefer this new look. As always, I've posted a few recap reels on my IG which you can checkout if interested: https://www.instagram.com/p/DHpBCFbC-XE/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DHrirh_iG9j/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DHzHs3LN1QY/

Finally got a few little jobs done on my recently acquired Z so I can now post a few photos.
  37. We itโ€™s finally starting to come together! Last week the 300 and parts were collected and taken to a company that has done a number of jobs for me (replacing the head gasket and other work on the Toyota Alphard and a number of jobs on the RS6). Theyโ€™re called DC Automotive and Tuning . They have a passion and specialise in Japanese motors and seemed really excited to get involved in the 300. ๐Ÿฅณ Jimmer at PowerZed , who has been as patient as a saint, has also been in touch about the engine rebuild and is going to start work on this too. I donโ€™t hold out much hope that Iโ€™ll be driving her this season, as thereโ€™s a very long way to go, but it fills me with joy knowing that things are moving again. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  38. After many hours research and consulting OCS, I decided to try something somewhat new with my piston rings. I have decided to run Total Seal Gapless pistons rings. The setup includes a gapless top ring, with conventional second and oil control rings. To my knowledge Iโ€™m the only person in the UK to be running gapless rings on a VG30, but I know of at least one other in the states that have shown very positive results. The term gapless is a bit of a misnomer. Itโ€™s a 2 piece ring, with their individual ring gaps rotated 180 degrees from each other, effectively making the area around the ring gapless. The positives include virtually 0 blowby (so a 0-1% leakdown vs 5% on a conventional ring), increased vacuum and reduced oil fuel dilution. The other benefit is you can run a larger ring gap on the 2 pieces, allowing the a wider margin for thermal expansion without the downside of increased blow by The only real downside that I can see is the cost, at around 30% more than a CP Piston ring pack. Hopefully this will help with slightly improving my idle vacuum (due to my cam profile) and a generally more efficient engine.
  39. After a bit of a delay due to work commitments, Iโ€™ve finally dropped my block off at OCS engineering to rework a donor block I sourced from Banzai Breaker a few years ago. Theyโ€™re confident they can make the needed adjustments to make sure the billet main caps fit properly and the correct size! Canโ€™t imagine itโ€™ll be done this side of Xmas, but at least Iโ€™ve finally made a start!
  40. Hi everyone, I was a member on here many years ago, was known for my detailing and valeting back then, and am trying to locate my favourite old Z (I've had five so far). It was a green slicktop NA manual, registration number N434 OGC. I foolishly passed up on the opportunity to buy it back, albeit in a very sorry state, a few years ago and I was led to believe it was broken up for parts not long after. However, I was just doing some nostalgic DVLA checks, as you do, and it looks like it's been back on the road since then, and the last MOT only expired in September this year. Does anyone on here own her, or know the owner? I would love to see the Z again ๐Ÿ˜ Cheers all, Peach
  41. I loaded mine up ready for the NEC tomorrow...... Banners on board - thanks to Tom and Ian for their help in getting them over to me yesterday Snacks to keep us going - for a few hours at least LOL Cleaning materials, to give the Zed a wipe down on arrival - and keep it shiny.... Fingers crossed it stays dry on the drive up! Chairs to take the weight off our feet when we get the chance. If anyone is coming along, we are in hall 3, stand 3-050 - on the back wall next to the Classic Zed register and MR2 owners club. Look forward to seeing you there๐Ÿคฉ
  42. Hi there, the wife requested a runout in the Z yesterday so we did a trip to the Aqua centre in Rolvenden to buy a fish tank. They were very helpful, We then stopped off a the Great House near Hawkhurst for lunch
  43. Hi all, Not had an update for a while so where shall i start ? My engine is back and so far its stuck on a stand minus its turbos as the last ones had some issues. So my view is to get a set of GT525+ curtesy of Z1 https://www.z1motorsports.com/turbocharger-kits/z1-motorsports/z1-300zx-gt525-turbo-kit-p-43797.html Along with a set of AMS manifolds https://www.z1motorsports.com/headers-manifolds/ams/ams-max-flow-300zx-tt-exhaust-manifolds-v2-p-16305.html Not made the order yet as i just like peoples thoughts and does anyone have the newer design version of the 525's ?
  44. It's been a while since my last 'journal entry' but not a lot has happened since the trip earlier in the year. I have completed a few small jobs and did attend quite an exciting show... First off, the 99spec front lip that got torn off on the Ring (see previous post ๐Ÿ˜†) was replaced and the Powertrix sideskirts were removed and refitted as they were rushed the first time around and not done to my liking. Happy to say both are now in place. The Powertrix skirts are based off the Kaminari and similar in style to the TwinZ, in that they cut into the chassis versus flaring out which makes the car look like it has a waist. I really like it but it definitely needs some side lips to flare out the bottom side a little and give it a slightly more aggressive look. The challenge is that there are no 'off the shelf' lips for Powertrix or Kaminari in a 2+2 variation and the Twinz is not only very expensive but not guaranteed to fit. Not a risk I'm willing to take unfortunately. I'm in contact with Grams Styling as they have a generic 2+2 lip to see if that would fit these will....watch this space! I've noticed that a lot of the US cars have the OEM mud spats fitted and I really like the look. There are aftermarket FB variations available but it didn't make sense to me as surely they would get chipped up over time? As my car was black, I figured I'd keep an eye out for at OEM set but none appeared. I then came across an owner in the US who was selling a full set of mud guards (not spats). I jumped on them as figured they'd be better than nothing. After waiting 2weeks for them to arrive, I test fitted them and wasn't convinced. Fortunately a few days later, a set of OEM mud spats were listed in the UK...! Last but not least, I was fortunate to attend the PistonHeads Annual Service at Bicester with my club. The club was invited as one of the only 'outsiders' and they really jumped on the opportunity to showcase us all. We had approx 48 cars on stand including 3 Lexus LFAs (there are only 3 registered in the UK!), Ferrari F40, Porsche CGT, a plethora of Lambos inc a couple of Murcielagos, several McLarens, BMWs, a RWB and even an Aston Martin Valour....and then me! Lol..it was quite comical. I was in good company with a 90s NSX but otherwise, the retro JDM showing was quite low. A lovely event but I think RollHard the previous week had it bear quite easily (check it out if you've never been!). As usual, I created a reel following the PH meet which you can see here - https://www.instagram.com/reel/DNJAun2MEaw/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=Y2xieXN4b3g2NjMw
  45. not exactly today but over the last week/10days sent the zed off to have the Bonet/a-pillars/ roof painted, tailgate and sides still need doing but got other work to do in those areas first, so fitted new targa seals, full set of trims, replaced the targa metal panels with a pair of repaired replacements and rebuilt the t-tops including new interior panels and a new roof centre bar. all in all it's certainly lifted the car and tidied it up, wi;; get the rest sorted next year once I've had a few remedial jobs done. just got to sort the large targa seals the roof panels clamp down tight and don't leak, however they do sit a bit high on the front outer corners
