Tvr cerbera is my next car if I ever get board of the z ( very doubtful )

I have been looking up some facts and found that the cerbera is astonishly quick, especially the 4.5, 450bhp i think 0-60 in 3.9 and a top speed of 190mph, no turbos, just raw power, how would this compare to a modded z with the same power? I suppose mpg would be about the same, dont no about reliability though, TVR do have issues.

I would say it depends on what spec your Z is but I have to say I thought he had his handbrake on:o;)

Yeah, but for what you've spent you could get 3 or 4 Cerbies these days ! Or maybe 2 plus a years running cost ...

The only thing that puts me off the cerb is that its not japanese, but if I wanted a change, I would seriously consider it.

You are probably right there Mr P:o But I did say it depends on the spec of the Z.

I was gonna get the 4.5 Cerby as my next car but after much deliberation I have decided against it. The bhp figures TVR claim are completely untrue, as most 4.5's should be 420bhp (not 450) in reality most are around 380bhp when rolling roaded, even still they are 500kg lighter than a 300ZX so do have some awesome n/a power. Unfortunately due to them being as almost as unreliable as the Zed and devaluing like no ones business I think I will be in the same boat as I've been with all my 300's if I owned one. I'd have a car that constantly needs endless amounts of money spending on it and something I'd never use. German for me next, once my Zed is sold ;)
Porsche ? Audi ? not BMW I hope.
lol 911 Porker mate, no older than about 6-7 years 2001-2002. Want something reliable and newer that I can use everyday and these tick all the boxes for me.

Have you driven one Glenn? I always liked them until about five years ago when I borrowed a friends four year old convertible for the weekend.I am trying to remember what model it was but for the life of me I cant

Very harsh ride and did not have the guts I was expecting it to have.

Glenn, you'll love the 911. The newer ones especially. My friend had a 993 version, and, whilst styling isn't my thing (dash especially!), the grip the car had was insane!

i love my TVR, granted its been off the road a damn load more than its been on but when it works its fantastic :)

5.0L griffith with a few tasty mods and its by far the fastest thing i have ever driven and the noise is something else.

911 = Very common and dear on parts and labour.
You could say that about a lot of newish performance cars these days. I don't see that many of them, Boxters maybe, where do you live Chelsea? lol. As for being expensive on parts and labour I've owned 300's for the last 6 and a half years, now they are a money pit. I don't expect a 25-30grand 6 year old 911 to have much going wrong with it to be honest.

Macca I've driven a 2001 C2 rear wheel drive carrera and loved it. Only 320bhp but it ticked all the boxes for me and a little drop in performance doesn't bother me. I'm hoping the 4 wheel drive version will be better again but won't know till the new year when I start looking.

I know what you mean, mines cost nearly £5000 in less than a year.
