used to like jonothan ross, but this is boring offencive and shite, hope they get sacked, bunch of tw4ts

 

Heard about this on the radio on my way back from Kent yesterday. Never thought much of Russell Brand. Bit too flamboyant for me and he's not that funny. Jonathan Ross's show was only really popular because of the big-name stars that appeared on it. Brand quit the BBC and Ross has been suspended.

 

I don't watch much of either, so wouldn't miss them if they were gone.

Russel has resigned now, not sure about jonathan ross tho

I like Brand and Ross and found it funny in places, but longwinded.

 

It was a pre-recorded show though, the BBC obvviously reviewed it, thought it was fine, and aired it!

 

Then they suspend them and force resignations when people complain :xxx:

I didn't actually find it funny, not because whether I thought it offensive or not, I just thought it was unfunny. But I agree with you on the last point though. If the BBC aired it, then regardless of who said what, the person that thought it would be a good idea should be held accountable.

I didn't find it that funny apart from a couple of bits but it was blown out of proportion as far as i'm concerned.

 

5 people complained at the time of the show and 19,995 complained after it was shown in the press. Says something about the old bandwagon doesn't it?

 

Russel Brand is a bit of a marmite comedian, either you love him or hate him. I think he's rubbish and i can honestly say i've sat through one of his shows without smiling once let alone laughing

 

Jonathon Ross is quite funny and i do like his friday night program and film 2008 so let's hope they keep him on the bbc

licence fee millions well spent AGAIN! what a pair :xxx: :slap:

Think it was an over reaction and maybe the press is getting their own back for the libel threats to them from Ross.

the only reason the bbc hasnt got rid of ross yet is they know that itv will then get him for a song whilst hes still on garden leave from the bbc and he will still get his pay off from the bbc to boot equally brand has plenty of irons in plenty of fires and for both of them theres no such thing as bad publicity

lol Bad comparison. We'd be slacking off from our normal work and using company time to make nuisance phone calls. Whereas he was being paid to entertain by making the phone call.

 

Agree with the rest of what you said though, except the BBC should have no right to sack them. Yeh, perhaps Brand and Ross should apologise to Sachs & granddaughter...but it was the BBC that decided to air the pre-recorded calls.

Neither of them are funny in any way, shape or form, especially

russell brand.

This is the level they have to stoop to, to get noticed, otherwise

both of them would just fade into obscurity.

Brand is a hell of alot smarter than people think and hollywood loves him, he'll land on his feet no problem
