Just taken the Z out for a bit of a blast, whilst I still like the car a lot and it feels as good now as it ever has, it just doesn't seem to give me the same buzz it did when I first got it.

I know it's one of those things. Like when you meet a new girl and you're at it like rabbits until it almost becomes one of those things you do to pass the time and release stress.

I don't know whether I've had enough of throwing money at it. Maybe I've run out of things to do with it. Maybe it's because the weather is cold and I actually prefer driving it with the roof off. Maybe I fancy something more modern without the squeaks and rattles of an 18 year old sports car. Maybe I just fancy something different all together?

I couldn't sell it. A: I'd not get anywhere near what I'd want for it, B: I just don't want to see it get into the wrong hand and C: I just couldn't part with it.

Just need to get excited by the car again. I don't think any amount of engine work and boost upgrades would really give me the buzz again. I dunno

/thoughts.

you need z guidance counciling. Start dressing it sexy in a veilside kit and ask it if it would like other zeds to join in :D

If it got to that point, I'd rather chop it up and put it in the wheelie bin.

Kinda been getting bored with lots of things lately. Car, girlfriend and job.

set fire to it and get the buzz of trying to explain to the police why you did it!

:rofl::rofl:

drive a 1995 turbo diesel escort for 200 miles a week stuck in traffic for 8 hours of that then jump in the zed early on a sunday morning and go for a blast. you can have too much gravy in life

ive drove mine twice in as many months...1 when car mad called over and 2 to get it MOT'd and straight back home, the way i feel atm i could'nt care less iff i did or did'nt have it.Recently ive kinda drifted more into my power boat and use my spare time and money on that:confused:

That's far too comfortable. Thake the seats out replace them with hard plastic school chairs then put 12 bags of sand in the back.

Not sure I could do a 'Karl' on it.

The Leon is actually a cracking little car. I think that's half the problem. I really enjoy driving and I'm very happy with it. The Mondeo I used to have before that was horrid. Boat-like to drive. Miserable, although quite pokey engine, it was a chore to drive.

I have driven an Escort Van...diesel, with no PAS all the way to Scotland and back and I feel your pain. It's not pleasant AT ALL!

I find little annoyances (like Squeeks and rattles) can play a large part in the enjoyment...or lack off, but at least they can be rectified.

One thing I've noticed though, and Im sure others have too, is that you get owners spending an absolute fortune on their cars, you can tell its there No.1 interest at the time...then its finally finished to how they want it (big engine build or not long out of bodyshop..etc) and they suddenly lost the interest...and up it goes for sale and a big financal loss :(

Postnatel depression I reckon ! lol

you ever thought about taking it on a track. If not, why not?

No and no and no again. I'd buy an NA for the track and would make sure it was a used and abused example that I would mind having dings and dents on it. Far more predictable power. Whilst I love the TT on the open roads, on the track, I'd have a stripped out NA.

Si

I am now forty five years old and have forgotten the cars i have had in the past twenty eight years, the longest i have kept a car is two years, now i have had my zed for two years and two months and going strong. Each time i get in it and drive it i have a big smile on my face and it gets so much attention and mine is only a NA.

I've had mine 3 years now. Probably the longest I've ever kept a car. I've enjoyed building to what it is now and don't regret it. But I dunno.....I think I just need to drive it more. You can't really do that too well on UK roads as they're either overcrowded with traffic jams or are pot-holed!

Not going to be getting rid. I just need to get connected with it again.

i know si get an na. i personally love every moment i can get to drive in it. the car is the only thing i own and its a hobby too. im a sad shit i know but it helps me to chill out when i have had a bad day to giving me a buzz when im bored!

for me the z has something special

Mines not too bad really I have had a large bag of compost in the back for about 4 months that I got from the garden center but keeep forgetting to put in the shed. When you screw the ar#e off the turbo keeping the revs up it drives ok but it's such a blessing to fire up a zed and go for a spin after being subjected to that 5 days a week :D

Sure is a bad time. The weather was shit this year. The only time I got to drive and enjoy it was in June when I took it to France. Ever since, it's been grey and raining!

The one I drove had NO turbo and NO PAS. A pure travesty of motoring!
