:hurl:help needed please my z started smoking and stinks of oil burning when race it a bit if driven easy dont smoke if idleing no smoke if hold revs to around 3000 slowly starts to smoke then up and down throttle so its like 2800 to 3200 revs it pours out and it only does it when warmed up thank you

sounds like turbo seals have gone

can i buy new seals and replace them if i can where from i got a spare set of manual turbos off another car i bought with technics turbo wrote on side of them but 1 as seal gone would they be better if can be repaired thanks 4 your help

had the same problem matey ....turned out to be turbos.......replaced thm and all is well ...still smoked abit after bt tht was down to all the oil left in the manifolds n such.

Buddy, you need to drop the engine to get both turbos out (althought it has been done insitu before), so it really would be a false economy to repair one or fit second hand ones.

I miss-read. Sorry. You want to repair both. I'd get them done by a recommended turbo reconditioner.

I didnt know they could be done with the engine in. Sounds promising :)

engine out job! i have spoke to 10 different people about this and they all say how hard and time consuming this is better engine out.

cheers 4 the replys, just done manual conversion, re spray all thats left is turbo problem and bushes then hope it might stop breaking ha ha
