Hi guys can anyone help, ive found a company on the web that will chip my ecu with a stage 3 chip, they claim the boost will be raised to 14 psi as long as i have a free flowing exahust and air filter.

I have the filter but have only changed the back box is this ok dont i need to upgrade the injectors i just want to be sure before i do it.

the chip does not raise the boost...it only gives a revised fueling and timing map along with a few more changed perameters to enable boost to be increased,boost is increased either by a boost controller or boost tips or jets and thats a whole new chapter:)

best thing to do is buy a chip off any of the guys on here to be sure you don't end up with a crappy chip and blow ur engine, a lot are copied from the popular JWT chips which have extra safety margins as not tu run too lean.

all the chip does is allow for fuel to go to the engine.

 

will not increase the boost, you need boost jets or boost controller to do this.
