Just Had my renewal quote from Adrian Flux.

 

It is 4 times what it was last year due to my altercation with a tree. It is also £300 more than the renewal quote for my Blue Zed "Now saddly Keano's" and that had every modification listed.

Just re-insured my NA for £947 Full Com - 22 - 4 years no claims with Admiral

£172 FC with protected bonus and £100 excess with SAGA:hyper: but if you aint 50 or over sorry no chance ! :(

 

Forget SAGA - the Sagely one doesn't touch Imports.

Yep, but the difference between a Standard Fully comp policy and a Traders policy is that on a Standard policy you can only drive other cars if there is an Insurance policy for that car by the owner already...and only TPFT.

 

Whereas a Traders policy allows you to drive any car, fully comp wether it be insured elsewhere or not.

 

I explored a Traders Policy as I'm entitled to one in another life BUT the cover is only for Trade meaning Book price. So if your car is worth 10k but only 3k in Parkers or Glasses Guide you're sort of stuffed..................

I pay £450 fully comp through Broadsure Direct. Full no-claims, clean licence, garaged, but I have unlimited mileage....god knows why as I do no more than a 5k each year in it! LOL. I need to shop around a bit more I think.

When I enquired about Trade cover I discovered that they would only ever pay out what the Trade market price was on any vehicle driven under the policy - which meant a car you think is worth 10k to you would get maybe 3k if that's what Glasses or Parkers guide said. Something to think about.
