Hello,

anyone got a Miles Per Gallon (or KM/L) guage? Where would one begin? Is there some software which works with a conzult connection already?

From what i understand, this is common on OBD-II ECU's.

I figure that it would be measurable (with a little maths) from the injector pulse rate and knowing fuel pressure (variable) and injector pulse (also variable) width ?

Are there devices which could simply fit before, say the fuel filter, to measure unpressurised flow - though i realise this would be a buffered reading and perhaps better for cruising anways?

Cheers.

Brilliant.......

TBH I don't care about the fuel economy of a ZX - even with today's prices - after all a 3 litre 300bhp twin turbo engine in a car designed 18 years ago is not going to win any friends in the green brigade:p

Just drive it and enjoy it......:hyper:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

It was something I suggested for the 'real-time' ConZult interface. Not sure whether they did anything with it though.

Just add it up, you dont need a comuter to do it.

Price divided by pence per litre = no of litres

No of litres divided by 4.54 = gallons

Miliage divided by gallons = mpg

If you get over 35 check your maths!!

yeah but we wanna see at what specific rpm, speed and throttle position we save the most fuel......so one would be handy

highest gear... lowest rpm :D though i hope you have plenty of time to get to your destination lol

its all in the load:D

Since i ditched my sh*te foam mushroom filter+ put a 'pop' type on, mines gone from 20-22 mpg, to 23-26mpg.

Yes, i have checked it.

Done over the last few hundred miles, some 40-60 cruising, quite a few full throttle fast blasts in there too.Try and keep off boost+ they are reasonable.Stay away from towns too!
