Took my Z to Jimmer this weekend for him to rebuild the suspension. What a fab job he did of it as well. (pics to follow when the suspension has settled, geometry has been set and bolt-to-hub spacers at the front).

BUT, just wondering; as we all know, suspension settles over time. Because I don't drive my Z a huge amount, will static weight still allow it to settle? IE, if it's sat in the garage with the weight of the car on it rather than it being driven with varying degrees of weight being applied. I guess it won't settle as quickly, but will it still settle out?

I am waiting for it to settle a bit before I get my geometry set. The car is at a lovely ride height, a nice subtle drop. Hoping the front will drop slightly more. Done about 50 miles in it since as I wanted to bed in the new brake pads. But just wondering if it'll still be settling out?

Incidentally, car feels awesome now, really stable, doesn't lean anywhere near as much.. Made me realise how much of a benefit fitted new/uprated suspension really is. Want some Whiteline ARBs now to reduce any last bit of body-roll down to a minimum.

Look forward to the pics si.

Go for stillen ARB's.... they come with all new Droplink and bushings that the Whiteline does'nt come with (and you will need new ones) , plus they are adjustable front and rear, whereas the Whitelines are either fixed or only adjustable at one end.

Was it the Stillen ones you spoke to me about? I'm getting my names confused!! I'll be in touch anyway. :)

I would love to see those pics Si, the only thing wrong with your car was the ride height, well not wrong but would benifit from a drop if you see what I mean.

Oh and to answer your question I would put some miles on it to get it to settle better.

as above Si just take it for a good run out and it should be fine

or you could have sex in it ? A couple of hours of various positions and speeds should soon settle the suspension.
