show me ya painted Plenum..... opinions/suggestions/methods but NOT powder coating

sorry for all the new threads on painting etc and yes i know im the spam king but i still need a little help too now and again:(

just want some advice on painting the plenum and making it look nice and glossy although im not very fussy.

Was thinking of giving it a rough sand then painting with a cherry red hammerite paint but will it have a nice shine to it? could i use a laquor to finish it off?

Thanks.

p.s Its a diy so powder coating os out the question.

I was only mucking with ya jimmy, You shouldn't have any problems with the balance bar holes :).

Looks very nice indeed. Throttle Bodies look very clean. Takes me back to the days when I actually had time to spend on my car, I'll be lucky if I get time to wash it once a week now :(.

Ive seen that setup on the us forum, i think its easy to the eye but you would get bored after a week and wish you had something a little more interesting.

The chap couldve at least used a red or black cable tie for the sensor cables!

But i thought that made all the difference, gota have a bit of blue in there somewhere.

Going to get my plenum done in black chrome, should look sweet!

Good choice :) am looking to experiment with black chrome on some parts over the next few months.
