I dont believe in Ghosts.

 

BUT...

 

The mrs says she was at home the other day on her own and could hear a piano playing downstairs clear as day. We dont have a piano and nor do our neighbours etc. The tv wasnt on, in fact it wasnt even there as I just sold it! She said it was loud, and she stood at the top of the stairs listening to it for more than a few seconds but as soon as she took a step down it stopped.

 

Now I didnt believe her, I dont believe in ghosts and out house isnt even old etc.

 

But about 10min ago I was stood in the front room talking to her and a candle on the window ledge just fell on its side? Its one of those short, big thick ikea ones. I checked it and there is no way it could have fallen over by itself, its centre of gravity is at the base, it doesnt fall over if you push it etc. the window wasnt open or anything, no vibrations from anything.

 

Now I dont beleve in ghost but that was cool! I saw it go out the corner of my eye!

i once watched a program about people who had died and they supposedly had dead peoples souls in them, they could remember things from many years ago before they were born relating to other people, who in this life they had never met, it could not be proven how else they could have known this, if that makes any sense.

They really are very clumsy these ghosts, they darent show themselves because they like to keep us guessing whether or not they exist, yet they go in to Stellas house and spark up a fag, they go into Eds house have a tinkle on the ivories and knock his ornaments over!!

No Si I dont believe in God or any of he's so called decendants. I believe that God is nothing more than peoples conscience and guilt. I am all for Science mate. Evolution rules and all that. What I meant in my last post is that its hard not to believe in ghosts with all the evidence but there has never EVER been any conclusive proof? Just what people say. The whole subject is explainable with Science but I didnt want to go there TBH. BUT! needless to say that the human mind can sometimes play pretty convincing tricks on us and we have no basic control over that.

I think ghosts and the paranormal are real. there is a lot of fake shit out there, but every now and then something comes along that sends a shiver down ya spine. ;)

Im with vinz and funky si on this. You tend to often find people into this stuff fall for the whole charade for example horroscopes, tarot cards, clairevoyants etc etc. Often like with religion I think its a case of someone not having to strength and mental capacity to face the modern world we live in so they need this mystical comfort blanket that gives them a nice little answer to everything.

God/religion. PAH! I dont believe anythiing written by man on this subject, especially when it was written by people who were not there and hundreds of years after the event in the time of "Story telling"

 

Ghosts, who knows??? And I think thats the point, no one does. Might be ghosts of dead people, might be other life forms we just dont know about, might be the power of the mind, might be too many whiskeys. I'm on the fence with this one, I cant prove either way if they are real or not, and if they are real what exactly it is they are.

 

All I do know is it makes for great topics of discussion and films!!!

As for Ghosts and other things I will only believe it When I see it

Ghosts.Call it what you will, but every now + then odd things happen, like walk into our empty house + put my keys in the hanger, have a shower(downstairs) + they are not there.

I've found them upstairs on the bed, in draws+ outside.I can't explain it.

I dont drink heavily, or do drugs, or have memory problems.Only ever seems to be little items, draws are often open too when no-ones been home.I like to put it all down to mischievious cats,helps me sleep at night.
