"orange fogs" me thinks, "no its a uk you cok head" :mac1: ;) looks much better and ide tint the lenses down now to match the centre bar

yep - just done the same sort of thing in the bmw.

They have clear lenses but orange indicator bulbs!?!?!

Anyway got some Silvatec bulbs in and it updates the car massively.

Yours looks miles better mate.

Excuse me for sounding stupid, but how did you break the orange lens, i tried with long nose pliers after it came off its mounts, its not thin plastic either ?

Looks brilliant mate.

How did you do it? Can i borrow your bits to do it if you have them in London? I have been meaning to do this for ages since i got clear side repeaters and got clear rear indicators, even got the silvertec bulbs ready, but just too tight to buy the tools!

It was a complete pain. the plastic is thick and tough. i had to use the light socket for leverage and break bits of at a time and crack it down piece by piece. If im honest i mangled up the first light socket working out the best way. The second was fine and both water tight.

Yep no worries, got all the bits. You interested in the Reading meet tonight??

http://www.300zxtt.co.uk/silvermach1.htm original "how-to" suggested soldering iron to melt a few holes before you break it off the mount. That worked. I then tried a hole saw plus tin snips. Doddle.

cool, thanks mate. Cant make tonight unfortunately. Will give you a ring sometime this week to come and pick bits up.

Saw you were on xbox live last night. Was going to invite you into a Forza game so we could race our zeds but couldnt work out how to do it.

haha, yeah invited you too.

So now mine are off the mounts ive got problems??

Well it means you can't use my methods ;) but just get something a bit butcher than the long nose pliers you have. EG tin snips or whatever. All you have to do is break up the orange plastic into bits small enough to come out. As per crotchrocket's method.
