ah, zeds started to misfire & just confirmed its an injector!

trying to decide if its worth going for it & getting 555's turbos etc or fixing it with a stock unit selling up?!? :wack:

just dont know! have got a nice bit of wedge due in soon & have been trying to decide whether to do my zed up selling up & going for a R33 or maybe a 350Z

bad timing for this to happen!!

anyone want a series 2 UK manual TT with some nice mods? LOL! :x:

or anyone got any cheap JWT530's & 555's for sale?!? :D

If your selling just go for replacement stock injectors, no point spending extra money you might not get back? If your keeping the car then its worth spending the £1000's it gonna cost

Repair it with easily available standard spares (cheapest option) and then use the wedge of cash to buy another car and keep the Zed as well. :D

After all secondhand Zeds at the moment are worth fook all  so keep it and enjoy it along with A. N. Other car of your choosing.

its a no brainer

ah, theres the problem you see........

Umm looks like it is only series III and above, maybe they could rework a set of series I injectors for you?

its a no brainer get the 350z

No mate - I'm not sure agree with this, having already been there, got the t-shirt etc...

You'll miss the thrill of boost, believe me!! :D

The 350 is a lovely motor, but you'll end up regretting it!!

Go for the upgrades - you know it makes sense!! :D

Cheerz mate,

JB.

I'm inclined to agree here too.

350Z is a very nice car indeed and prices have come down a bit lately but JB's right - when the turbos kick in the fun factor just makes you grin like an idiot. You just don't get that with the 350z.....

If you do decide to buy a 350z, then keep the 300zx as well :D

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Keep the Zed and modify it mate, if you get a 350 you'll miss the turbo's, this will mean you will have to modify the 350 which will cost even more money.

How many miles has your car done Paul? For me that would be the deciding factor...if you're heading past 90k then it might be prudent to freshen the block up as well if you are going to increase the power by another 100bhp or so that 555's and larger tubs will potentially bring. Even more cash!

Hate to say this but for me, R33 GTR's were so tempting that I decided to sell-up rather than upgrade the injectors on a highish mile car even though i still love the Zed.

I then accidentally brought a supra :x:

125,000 miles now. but thats the other thing - if I sell would many people consider buying at that mileage does anyone think??

its always been looked after & is a great car (injector fault aside :p ) with nice mods that iv done (filter, zorst, chip, boost increase clutch, f/wheel, pulley, RLTC, KYB's & eibachs, adjustable upper & lower arms, 99 spec front etc etc)

thought about it all last night & keep changing my mind on what i should do LOL!!
