hi guys,

i got some bad news. i was involved in an accident at 2am this morning; some pedestrians ran across the road and i swerved out of the way to avoid them, and i went into a roadside barrier. i had the car transported to a damage repair specialist i know of...

to think the amount of money i spent on the car in the past year... and it may now get written off. atleast no one got hurt i guess... what can ya do eh...

Oh no!! Mate that's terrible. You're ok which is the main thing. Such a shame though. A very low mileage UK Z in imaculate condition too. :(

I really really hope you can get that fixed. To add, when I saw the title of the thread on the main forum with your name under it, my heart sankk

i was doing no more than 30-35...there were two barriers joined together, it went through the middle section of the first barrier, then the wheel got dislodged where the 2 joined together.

Gutted :( As everyone else as said, at least no one was hurt...not that it's much consolation I'm sure. I hope you get a fair deal from your insurance.

Might be saveable mate. If all the critical points measure up, then by the looks of it, a new front strut wishbone, rack and sundries, wheel, wing and front bumper.....fingers crossed erh!

Hope you gave the pedestrians a telling off!

Hope it can be repaired, saw this Z a few months back, lovely clean UK Z and a dedicated owner ;) Let me know if I can help out at all.

Vijay

good to see your ok bud ....

its gonna be a bitch to get it on the lift.... but from what i can tell it may be all straight, but as you can see in one picture there is a split in some structural panel join, so until it gets on the lift i'm not sure what the outcome is going to be.

what i reckon is that if the car needs the engine out and to go on the jig, it may get written off because of labour etc... otherwise i can prob get a wing and some other parts from this lovely forum...

Hope it's fixable bud - a great example so worth saving if at all possible

I`ve got a 2nd hand wishbone, steering rack and other bits and bobs from the front suspension laying around, and in this case, free of charge if it helps ! Glad you are ok.

Alan.................

Oh dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cant believe this! After everything you have done too.

I hope you're ok though and nobody was hurt. :( :( :(

Might be an idea to buy it back and sort the repairs out yourself.

Wouldn't have thought you'd need to drop the engine bud. Unless there's serious structural damage, you should be able to get it done in situ.

You have to try and get it back on the road mate. It's Zs like yours IMHO that keep the car so worthy.

im filling up reading this thread mate   what a terrible thing to happen to a gorgeous Z. although it looks bad im sure when it gets down to it, it's quite repairable.

and Alan you are a top bloke for offering the parts  hats off to you

what happened to the tw*t that ran out in front of you :mac1: he should pay for it all out of his own pocket

Absolutly Gutted for you bud...... hope you get things sorted and your ok
