Yes I was going to try that and if that failed I was going for the Greg Dupree box as its meant to be good for 1000bhp but thats US bhp  ;)

I think US BHP stands for Brake Hooker Power? not Brake Horse Power! :D

LOL it's about time something new happend to your car Iain. ;) Been waiting too long for an update :p

You cant rush a good whisky it takes time;)

Fast ? its doing 0-180+ in less than a half mile straight

Dude... dont tell me it's gonna take another 10 years? ;)

LOL I will probably spend the next ten years repearing things that it breaks

Nice one matey, no pain no gain ;)

Oh and you were right, i was checking and the 18 and 20g turbos will go to 28 psi which is the maximum the compressor wheel speed will allow, on a test bench the optimum boost is 20.7 psi but obviously with only a 1.5 ltr running each then its going to take more to push its optimum but it looks like you have got there and possibly another 1 psi as well to come then go to the dark side and run a map on the loopy juice which will allow for heavily advanced timing which will mean even more power :)

Once its all running i will have to pop round ;)

Speak soon bud

Mike

Yep hats off, theres not many people who would invest lots of money in a 10++ year old datson!!! we much be mad

And yes it must be certainly one of the most tuned zeds in the country, i know of only 2 or 3 which i would class in the same league as macs so its an elite club

Yes I am running Greddy wastgates and 2 bar is not a problem. I bought some uprated springs from Nend if you drop him a PM he will probably have some.

The rear pram handle is what is restricting us to 180mph however it also keeps the arse end on the ground I really need to change it if I am going to try a top speed run. Yes the next stage is to junk the plenum and fit six throttle bods and then use race fuel to take the car closer to its full potential.

Sounds mental fella, as everyone else has said.......

Looking forward to seeing a Z embarrass some skyline's and supra's :nana2:

Plenty left in the injectors;) the box was brand new and its on its last legs:( I am going to upgrade the internals and see how that handles the power then decide from there, the carbon clutch is holding out very well so far.

Have a look Here straight cut dog box for £4k plus fitting doesn't look bad. Should be up for whatever you throw at it and no synchros to worry about

Glad to hear you've pushed on to the next stage. I was thinking you'd decided you'd got enough go to scare yourself. Obviously you've got used to that now and are after the next fix.

Good luck Ian and keep us posted.

Nice one Iain the envy of the club, what i would give to own that car. Just 1 more job to make it perfect, you gotta paint it white :x:
