Like I said on the phone the other day, I am gutted for you, but the most important thing is the kiddies still have their Dad fit and well for Xmas :)

Another top Zed bite's the dust!

Saw this in the flesh at a meet @ canery warf, looks(ed) better in the flesh

Oh no, that was one of my favourates and I was looking forward to seing it in the flesh.

Glad to hear you are ok, that's the most important thing. Still at least you have another one to put your self into.

Best of luck with the insurance company and getting it back off them to break. At least it can then donate some vital ogans to other Zeds...... It's what she would have wanted, sniff, sniff!!

Seriously though, chin up and promise me you will stay in the Zed world!

thanks for all the comments...remarkably upbeat about it really..its not in my nature to get down about stuff....as Mark says kids have their dad....and i still got a zed..:D

my youngest daughter said to me yesterday...Dad i'm glad you smashed that car up its was noisy and uncomfortable i love the red one much more....!!!!

Bugger! Totally gutting sight to see that. Feel for you mate.

Probably best thing to do is buy the car back for salvage from the insurance and sell it as a shell for repair/breakage. I'm sure someone on here with some skills will buy it from you and keep one of the best cars in the club on the road.

What a crying shame. That was a very nice Z. James did a loverly job though I would have not done her two tone myself. If your breaking her i'll have the interior.

This is why i think peole should do more track days and get some intruction. You be supprised how much road craft you can learn. Sorry to say it but thats just too much right boot for the road conditions. These cars need treating with much more respect than people's Ego's allow and this is a typical inexperience error.

The good news is that no one was killed or injured and leasons should be learnt.

Some wet weather Z driving tips

Make sure that all link arm bushes are in good nick

That ICAS rack and linkage has no play or is remove because these cars are very twitch in the rain and shifting wheel geometry in amplified by tauter spring and steering settings

Always have Best rubber possible

Replace before excessively Worn

Keep it smooth

Keep your auto in hold through the bends

knock your speed down buy 30% if your a mainiac like me or 15% if your usually steady.

Remember you may think you look cool when you blow someone into the weeds, but what kind of tosser do you look and feel when your upside down in a field.

2 things there bud that didn't need to be said :x:

2 things there bud that didn't need to be said :x:

Sorry the 2 tone is just my opinionand doesnt detract from it having been a very nice car, but with regard to inexperience I think it does need to be said because this year there's been more bent Zeds through presicely that than any previous year I recall since I first came on here about 5 years ago.

I hate to see people get killed. Even though I know some people will think I'm a know it all gob shite for spelling it out, but then it may reach some and at least I've past on some of my experience.

I do know these things because I've been that man upside down in the field with a twisted wreck of both car, motorbike and body.

I've been bitten once by the last Zed and i was lucky to not crash it.

I can honestly say as someone who's driven everything from granadas to mr2s and tvrs the zed is a very unpredictable car which i won't push hard in the wet.

Especially being an auto turbo you have two unpredictable variables there that are waiting to catch you out on every corner.

As mark says, we've lost a few within a few short weeks so it proves just how bad these cars are in the wet/cold

p.s. i love the two tone, was thinking of doing the same to mine at one point :D

nowt wrong with two tones

michael schumaccer is one of if not the best driver in the wrld and he still crashes, i know what you are saying mark (and i sometimes feel that im still inexperianced) but i dont think uno wants to hear someone call him a shit driver when this has happened to his beloved zed

but i do agree some of us (including me) should think a little more instead of just letting adrenalin take over

I've been bitten once by the last Zed and i was lucky to not crash it.

That looks stunning mate. I'd be tempted to do it like that.

thanks for the advice mark it all makes sense now

Generally I don't like 2-tone, but James/Unos Z was absolutely perfect (apart from the autobox...hehe)....wouldn't change a visual thing about it and was my most likely my favourite on the forum.

Still gutted to know that it's dead, but glad that no one was injured/killed.
