Have you noticed how all the smokers are becoming a bit 'Twitchy'??? ;)

Fook sake, what will they be like when the ban is inplace??

Could even be as bad as if all the women in the Uk were on 'Blob Week' at the same time!!!!! :x: :mac1: :slap:

  ggrrrrrrrrrrrr wheres that fvkin lighter

Second-hand smoke has twice as much nicotine and tar as the smoke that smokers inhale. It also has five times the carbon monoxide which decreases the amount of oxygen in your blood.

so start smoking... its less harmful than breathing the 2nd hand smoke

chris that wont bother me bud as i dont smoke in public places as stated above, but its the idea that iff i smoke in the street its going to take 5 years off your life ffs :headvswal :headvswal

I don't mind people smoking outside or in their homes.

I spend a lot of time in pubs and clubs and I have coughs that last for months on end sometimes that I'm sure are caused by the atmosphere in these places.

and the SMOKERS say fook everyone else as long as im happy.

No, the smokers are generally saying "Just leave us the fook alone".

and the smoke machines in the clubs dont cause any of it i guess....

Probably more to do with lots of virus carriers in close proximity than anything else.

BTW, why are most anti-smokers so keen to believe what the Govt. has to say, given their track record (WMD, anyone?)

All the Govt. is doing is using scare tactics to brainwash the feeble-minded so that they can reap the zeitgeist and win more votes. Anybody sane individual who does any decent amount of research into the subject will find overwhelming evidence that the effects of "passive smoking" are minimal.

Errrr no... I just don't like breathing in smoke and stinking like an ashtray when I go out

There is only one good thing about smoking in pubs, You can identify the women who smoke quickly and therefore not waste any time talking to them or even worse waste money buying them a drink

:nono: drinking is very bad for your health bud,ime teetotal and have been for most of my life, dont have a cough and fit as a fiddle being 295 pounds with a body fat index of a teenager and my colestrol is 3  according to the goverment statistics ime unfit   ;)

I totoally respect your right to choose that. What I have no respect for is a gang of like minded people deciding that those who want to can't - even if there are no non-smokers near them.

As an aside, do people know that the Govt. have actually had the gall to declare Westminster as a "palace" which is not a "public place", so people who want to CAN actually smoke there? Hypocrites! I feel like organising a visit from a big group of smokers ;)

yes but with pipes and cigars you dont inhale the smoke into your lungs

and if that was true we would all be having a cigar or pipe
