Ok so what is the paint code for a uk yellow zed if you can get one im still confused.

Yellow was never available for the UK spec.

Just been looking at the uk pearl yellow zed on ebay and its yellow under the bonnet it looks like a factory job i could be wrong ebay Item number: 120038987118 .

Odd one that, unless it's had a bumper fitted and cocks fitted from a UK spec. I am 99.99999% sure that no pearls were ever available on the UKDM cars. Infact, no metallics were available either on the UK cars. Pretty sure all UK spec cars were a solid colour. Solid black, red and white. I might be wrong, but I don't think I am.

That's a particularly miserable one, check out all the billy-bolt-on junk stick to it. Looks like it crashed through Halfrauds covered in glue.

Daves_Zed will be able to clarify as he has some old UK brochures.

Mike Kirby's old Zed was a pearl yellow UK spec. I should know as I still have the front bumper in my garage (and it has the headlamp washer jets - a UK only feature).

Gareth

That's really strange. Fookin' rare. You deffinatelty couldn't get the UK spec in pearl white. Yellow must have been the only colour available in pearl/metallic.

The first Z I looked as was a UK spec pearl yellow (well at least I thought it was at the time). As far as I know it was only available on the very early cars, in/around 1989.

Thanks guys does that mean i can get a touch up pen from nissan parts department i take it its the same eh7 colour as the jap pearl yellow.

Yes, the paint codes are common to Nissan worldwide. As mentioned above, Mike, or any friendly Nissan main dealer, can, if they want to be helpful, order you the touchup colours.

Just thought about this again, and there were definitely the blue pearl metallics available for UK models, AndrewG and PaulC have them.

Wonder where I go that info then. Felt sure that it was just solid colours that were available over here. Ho-hum.

Don't think you'll be able to get a touch up pen for it taff.

It's a 3 stage paint, very difficult to match up.

Under the bonnet will be a 'lemon' colour, just the

basecoat with no pearl lacquer on it. The code is EH7.

yeh I had a look a UK pearl yellow when I was looking a Z, liked the colour but there were a couple of holes in the sill's ( now theres proof of it being a UK model :D ) so I didnt buy it.

Gareth B that looks like a Jap Z due to the lights, markgixxer750 yours is more like it and rare as hens teeth apparently

Just looked on courtesy nissans site they list a a full range of nissan pearls and metalics inc pearl white and eh7 pearlglow yellow .Looks like eh7 pearl glow isnt avalible in a touch up pen but it seems you can buy a paint can of it.

Yellow was never available for the UK spec.

Certainly was on series one cars, Si....!

It was a flat yellow though - the chap who owns a music store in Maidenhead bought his in the early 1990s. He still has it today, it's an H plate, definately a UK spec car and he bought it from a Nissan dealer one previous owner FSH etc etc.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Don't Paul C and Cybernet have UK spec cars - theirs are metallic blue and metallic gun metal grey, respectively?

There were a few different colours for UK cars - more on series one models though. I think the colour choice wasn't so extensive on later cars.

One thing is for sure, silver was never a option here as well as pearl white.

Pearl yellow was available but there was only about 30 or 40 car ever done and it was full 3 stage pearl glow ;) as someone pointed out i had one and they were all done in 1991 so H or J plates.
