I think you're asking for major trouble unless you've got several thousand to sink into it after you buy it. All the electrical connectors will prob be rusty and not working which will give untracable random problems. Who knows what state the engine is after that length of time. Seals will be questionable as they are often a mare on a zed that hasn't been left standing for 4yrs.

Im not really thinking of putting it on the road, just thinking bottom value for a rare - black, uk, manual, leather.etc z.

Just managed to get it down to £850, he says thats it !

Just the rarity of this one, also quite nice AEZ Paron 18" alloys, could do with a refurb really but not to bad

Oh I see, wasn't aware that black uk manuals were rare lol

Mind you, this one sounds more 'endangered' than rare..........

Hope you dont mind me using your cool pic Legrath ;)

Best thing to do is go round there and start it up yourself and see how mechanicly sound it is, could be a lot of scare mongering going on, i know the guys are proberbly speaking through experience but your not going to be able to tell what its like through posts on here, best way is to see for yourself

Well......... dispite the warnings !!!

I have gone and bought it.......

It was to wide to go on the trailer we borrowed, so ended up towing it..

The engine wont start as no fuel getting through, whether it's the pump or control unit, fuse or relay i don't know yet.

Whilst towing, the brakes worked a bit and the clutch may be ok as i put it in gear and it was spinning the engine over.

Here are a couple of pics

I think you got a bargain there :)

The wheels must be worth £300-400 alone.

Looks in good condition considering.

Hopefully you can get it running without too much cost.

Hope it all works out for you bud, i bought one that was laided uo for about 2 years, it was a major rebuild project, but last night in the dead of night, i fired her up and took her for a spin.................... wooohooooooo, she's fast, still gives me a smile, even though i still have a load of bixes in the car of interior bits and bobs. only a little run, about 1 mile round trip, loved all of the 6 mins i was out lol. only reason i waited was i have front bumper, and she needs a respray.

I paid £1000 for mine but i took her for a little drive and every thinkg was fine, and have spent another £2600 on her so far, but i have bought bling, paint for the respray and an alarm for that, prob need to spend another £1000 for the front bumper and skirts, then labour for the spray. Then she goes back on the road, after that i cabn can do the little bits that i want.

Hi Neil

Blimey... dont want to be spending that sort of money on it !

Going to clean it up today and look at fuel problem..

More pics tonight !

ou'll very very luckly if you dont have to spend money on it, as been said it's been laid up for a long time things WILL be wrong with it. You have to ask your self why it was laid up and why for so long???

Good luck though.

The only rewason i've spent what i have is i want it how i want it before it goes back on the road.

Neil
