Need some advice guys please?

Notice of intended prosecution came through this morning, 102mph in a 70, M62 Saturday 23rd March the fucking notice got here almost as quick as me!

The notice says detected by Lastec, does anyone know what Lastec is?

The allegation is supported by photographic evidence, i have to provide details of who was driving the car, if you know what i mean.

Any advice / web sites with information would be gratefully received, anyone any idea of what i may expect by way of fine and points?

Oh! Hello dear here`s some nice flowers i got for you LOL!

Regards

Ian.

of course the real answer here is to just obey the speed limit :S

To really get this oen going, why is it and i dont understand this, that some people never get speeding tickets, points ect after driving for 15 odd years, and others do ?

You have to think at soem point about where you drive fast and where you dont, Mabey i just have blind luck.

And maybe the police spend too much time catching people doing nothing on random stop / searches.

My brother got stopped by them so often he eventually walked into the police station and just handed his documents over. When asked why, he simply replied that they obviously needed them more than he as they kept asking for them. He did look like a yob, though...shaven head, ear-ring, trousers belted round thighs, blacked out windows and a car that didn't need an engine - it bounced down the road on the bass....

I'm not going to say that in my 10 years of driving that I have never been caught speeding as that is tempting fate far too much. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Sometimes I guess they're just blind / can't be bothered / too close to tea break to care.

I know when I was on my way to work in Maidenhead once, it was 7:00am and I wasn't exactly doing the speed limit :ahem:. Blatted down the M4 to view in my peripheral vision one police car parked on the side on one of those raised humpy bits they park on to give them a rolling start...

I was doing only a fraction over the speed limit...less than 50 miles +70mph and saw him roll off the ramp in my rearview mirror. Couldn't be bothered to stop so I booted it the half mile or so to my exit, past a Porsche who decided to play....briefly....and off up to Maidenhead. Going over one of the bridges that crosses the M4 I saw him pass below, lights flashing, sirens going. Hah! Missed me! biggrin.gif Thankfully... biggrin.gif

im waiting for a notice to come to me as my car is registered to my pop for reasons which i wont divulge and he got a notice the other day and has sent back the details letting them know it was me but i'm asking for photo evidence as its on the lancs nr moorside school and i know for a fact i never speed past these cameras as i drive up and down this road four times a day or more and make a point of watching my speed...im convinced there has to be some mistake and want to make sure its not some chump in the outside lane that has gone blatting past and triggered the camera off while im in frame
